About PaylinePilot Canada
Who we are
PaylinePilot is an independent site that reviews video slots, crash games and instant games. The Canada edition focuses on the titles Canadians actually play, from Book of Dead and Wolf Gold to Aviator, and explains in plain language how each one pays. We are not a casino or a sportsbook: we take no wagers, keep no player funds and operate no real-money games.
How we test
- The official demo comes first. We play the studio's own demo long enough to see the base game, trigger the bonus where possible and watch plenty of crash rounds where there is no bonus.
- Then the rules screen. RTP, bet limits, max win, auto cash-out settings and bonus buy prices are copied from the in-game help.
- Each version on its own. A Megaways, 1000 or Splash release can carry different multipliers and a different cap, so we check it separately rather than reuse the original's numbers.
- Examples in Canadian dollars. Stakes like CA$1, CA$2 and CA$5 are worked through the multipliers exactly as the game shows them.
- No estimates. If a figure is not shown in the game or published by the studio, we tell you to check the in-game rules.
RTP builds
Studios often certify several return-to-player settings for one game, and each casino decides which one to install. Our quick facts box lists the default figure the studio publishes. The rules screen at the casino you actually use has the final word.
How we cover the rules in Canada
Under the Criminal Code, gambling in Canada is legal when a province conducts and manages it. Ontario has run an open market with privately licensed operators since April 2022, and Alberta opened its own regulated market on 13 July 2026. Elsewhere, the provincial lottery corporation runs the only authorised online casino, and offshore sites operate in a grey area. This edition is meant for readers outside Ontario and Alberta, and we never suggest VPNs or other tricks to reach a site. The minimum age is 19 in most provinces and 18 in Alberta, Quebec and Manitoba.
How the site is funded
Some buttons lead to casino sites, and we may earn a commission when a reader signs up. That never changes a review: the numbers come from the games, and a weak bonus round is called weak whether or not a partner carries it.
Keep it fun
Every game here has a built-in house edge. Treat gambling as paid entertainment, not a way to earn money or pay off debt. Set a limit before you start, learn new games in demo mode and stop when the budget is spent. If it stops feeling like fun, take a break and reach out to your provincial problem gambling help line. All content is for adults of legal gambling age in their province.
