Privacy Policy

PaylinePilot collects very little personal data. This policy explains exactly what is recorded when you browse the site, click a Play or Visit button or send us a message, why we keep it, for how long and how you can ask for it to be deleted.

Who we are and what this policy covers

PaylinePilot is an informational website that reviews slot games and online casinos. The site does not accept bets, does not hold player accounts and does not process payments. This policy applies to all pages of PaylinePilot, including the country versions, and to the contact form. It does not apply to the websites of casinos, game providers or any other third party you reach from our pages; they have their own privacy policies, which you should read before you share data with them.

In this policy "we" and "us" mean the PaylinePilot editorial team, which operates the site. You can reach us through the contact form.

How the site works technically

PaylinePilot is a static website. Pages are prepared in advance and served as plain files, so simply reading a review does not require you to log in or submit anything, and we do not build a profile of you as you move between pages. Like any web server, our hosting receives the standard technical information your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, the requested address, the time and your browser type. Our host may keep these access logs for a limited period for security.

The "gp" cookie and outbound clicks

When you click a "Play" or "Visit" button that leads to an online casino, our site sets one first-party cookie named gp. It contains a short description of where the click happened, such as the page and the position of the button. The cookie is set with a lifetime of 60 seconds. Its only job is to hand this information to our redirect script at /go.php, which then sends you on to the operator's site. After 60 seconds the browser discards it.

When the redirect runs, /go.php writes a log entry with the following data:

• the date and time of the click;
• the country folder of the page you clicked on (for example the English root or a country version);
• the button position on the page;
• your IP address;
• the referrer, meaning the address of the page you came from;
• your browser's user agent string.

We use this log for affiliate reporting: to see which pages and buttons send visitors to which operators, to reconcile the statistics our affiliate partners report and to spot automated or fraudulent click traffic. We do not combine it with other data about you.

The contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we store the name, email address and message you enter, together with the IP address the form was sent from. The IP address helps us filter spam and abuse. We use these details only to read and answer your message and, where you report an error, to check and correct the page. Please do not include passwords, payment card numbers, identity documents or other sensitive information in your message.

Analytics

We may use a web analytics service, such as Yandex Metrica, to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are read, how people arrive and which devices they use. If analytics is active, the service sets its own cookies and processes data such as your IP address, device and browser characteristics and the pages you visit, under the privacy terms of the analytics provider. We use the resulting statistics in aggregate to improve our content, not to identify individual visitors. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without losing access to any part of the site.

Free demo games

Many pages offer a free demo of the slot being reviewed. The demo is loaded only when you choose to start it, and it is served directly from the game provider's servers, not from ours. When the demo loads, the provider receives the technical information your browser sends and may set its own cookies or use similar technologies, for example to remember language or sound settings and to measure load and performance. We do not control these cookies and do not receive the data they collect. The provider's privacy policy applies to them. Demos play for virtual credits only and never ask for payment details.

Casino and partner websites

Once you leave PaylinePilot through a Play or Visit button, you are on a website run by another company. The operator and its affiliate program may use their own cookies and tracking links to record that you arrived from our site; this is how affiliate commissions are attributed. Any registration, identity verification or deposit you make happens entirely on the operator's site, and PaylinePilot never sees your account details or payment data.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone.
• We do not send marketing emails, and we will not add your contact form address to any mailing list.
• We do not use advertising cookies of our own or build interest profiles.
• We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Legal basis

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests for the click log (running and measuring an affiliate-funded site and preventing fraud) and for technical access logs (security). For contact form messages we rely on your request: you send us data so that we can reply. Where analytics requires consent under the law that applies to you, we will ask for it before any analytics cookies are set.

How long we keep data

• gp cookie: 60 seconds, then removed by your browser.
• Click logs from /go.php: kept only as long as needed for affiliate reporting and reconciliation, and in any case no longer than 12 months, after which they are deleted.
• Contact form messages: kept while the conversation is active and for up to 12 months afterwards, so we can refer back to a correction or complaint, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your message sooner.
• Analytics data: retained according to the settings and terms of the analytics provider.

Who can see the data

Click logs and contact messages are accessible only to the editorial team and to our hosting provider, which stores the files on our behalf. We may share aggregated, non-identifying click statistics with affiliate partners. We would disclose personal data to authorities only if the law required us to.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to receive a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to us through the contact form. Because the click log does not contain names, please tell us the approximate date and time of your visit and, if you know it, the IP address you used, so we can find the relevant entries. We will answer within a reasonable time and in any case within the period the applicable law allows.

You can also control cookies yourself at any time: every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, including the gp cookie and any analytics or provider cookies.

Age limit

PaylinePilot is intended only for adults aged 18 and over, or the higher legal gambling age in your country. If you believe a minor has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it. For help with gambling-related problems, see our responsible gambling page.

Changes to this policy
