About PaylinePilot South Africa
Who we are
PaylinePilot is an independent review site for video slots, crash games and instant games. The South African edition covers the titles local readers ask about most, from Aviator and JetX to Sweet Bonanza and Book of Dead, and explains in plain language how each one pays. We are not a casino or a bookmaker: we accept no stakes, keep no player money and run no game for real money.
How a review gets made
- The studio's demo comes first. We play it long enough to see the base game, the bonus round where there is one, and plenty of rounds where there is not.
- Then the rules screen. RTP, stake limits, maximum win, auto cash-out settings and feature buy prices are copied from the game's own pages.
- Every version on its own. A 1000 or Super Scatter remake can change multipliers and the ceiling, so we never borrow figures from the original.
- Rand examples. Stakes like R5, R20 and R200 are worked through the multipliers exactly as the game shows them.
- No guesswork. When a figure is not in the game or the studio's own material, the page tells you to check the rules screen.
RTP builds
Many studios certify several return-to-player settings for one title and let each operator choose. Our fact card shows the default published figure. The value in the rules screen of the platform in front of you is the one that applies.
How we report the law in South Africa
Under the National Gambling Act 2004, nobody may offer or take part in interactive games such as online casino play unless authorised, and the amendment that would have created online casino licences never came into force. The National Gambling Board repeated that position in 2026. Online sports betting with a bookmaker licensed by a provincial board is legal. The operators named on this site are offshore and hold no South African licence. We state this on every money page, we do not encourage anyone to break local law, and we never recommend VPNs or other ways around blocks.
How the site is funded
Some buttons lead to gaming operators, and we may earn a commission when a visitor signs up. That has no effect on the reviews: the numbers come from the games, and a weak feature gets called weak whether or not a partner carries it.
Keep it under control
Every game here has a built-in house edge. Treat play as paid entertainment, never as income or a way out of debt. Set a budget first, learn new games in the demo and stop when the budget is gone. If you notice you are chasing losses, step away and speak to someone you trust; the National Responsible Gambling Programme runs a free helpline. Everything on this site is for adults aged 18 and over.
