A funfair on nine cells
Onlyplay put Clown Coins out on 17 April 2024. The setting is a carnival after dark: a striped tent, a toy car, painted faces and one very large clown leaning over the grid. On the left side sit three chests marked Grand, Major and Mini, and those chests are the reason most players stay with the game.
Underneath the paint it is a 3x3 slot with five fixed paylines. The provider lists a return of 95.00%, medium volatility and a top win of 4,103x the bet. There is a single Wild in the base game and a single feature, the Bonus Game, which works as a coin-collecting respin round. No free spins, no buy button, no side bets.
A quick word on the law before any rupee figures. India's Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 took effect on 1 May 2026 and bars offering, advertising and processing payments for online money games across the country. Petitions against the Act are pending before the Supreme Court, and state rules sit on top of it. Real-money play is for adults 18+ only; the demo on this page uses virtual credits.
One round, start to finish
- Choose a total bet. All five lines are always active, so there is nothing else to set.
- The reels stop on a 3x3 window. Each line is read from the leftmost reel.
- Three matching symbols on a line make a win. The Wild can stand in for any symbol, and the game picks the most valuable combination.
- If a line holds more than one possible combination, only the best one counts. The amounts of all winning lines are then added together.
- When a bonus symbol sits on every reel at once, the Bonus Game begins without any extra input.
The fifth step is where the middle reel matters. The bonus symbols include a full collector piece, called Power Bonus in the game's own text, and reel 2 is the only place it ever appears. The trigger needs bonus symbols on all three reels, so in practice you will often see reels 1 and 3 ready and reel 2 letting you down.
Line pays in rupees
Onlyplay quotes the paytable against the total bet, not a per-line coin, which makes rupee maths very simple. The symbol names are not printed as text in the rules, so we rank the eight paying symbols from top to bottom. Here is what three of a kind on a single line returns:
| Symbol rank | x total bet | ₹20 bet | ₹100 bet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top symbol | 50x | ₹1,000 | ₹5,000 |
| Second | 30x | ₹600 | ₹3,000 |
| Third | 20x | ₹400 | ₹2,000 |
| Fourth and fifth | 10x each | ₹200 | ₹1,000 |
| Sixth, seventh, eighth | 2x each | ₹40 | ₹200 |
The bottom row is the interesting one. In many three-reel games the weakest line returns less than the stake; here even the lowest symbols double it. The gap between the low group and the fourth symbol is large, though, so most sessions are built from those 2x hits with an occasional 10x or better in between.
When several lines land together
The five lines overlap across nine cells (their exact shapes are on the lines screen), so one symbol can belong to two or three lines at the same moment. A Wild in the centre is especially useful because most lines run through it.
Some rupee sums at a ₹100 bet:
- One line of a low symbol: ₹200.
- Two lines of the fourth and fifth symbols in the same spin: ₹1,000 each, so ₹2,000.
- All nine cells showing the third symbol: five lines times 20x, or ₹10,000.
- All nine cells showing the top symbol: five lines times 50x, which is 250x, or ₹25,000.
Full screens are rare, but the last line shows that the base game alone can reach 250x without any help from the bonus. The rules do not list a separate payout for three Wilds on a line.
Inside the Bonus Game
Once the round starts, the reels stop showing regular symbols. Only three things can land:
| Symbol | Reels | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Clown Coin | All three | Worth 1, 2, 5, 10 or 15 times the bet, or a Mini, Major or Grand value |
| Power Bonus | Reel 2 only | Stays in place and adds up the values of the coins |
| Mask | All three | Takes up a cell, adds nothing and does not reset respins |
The round opens with three respins that play by themselves. Any new Clown Coin or Power Bonus brings the counter back to three; a Mask leaves it where it is. The jackpot coins are fixed multiples of the bet: Mini 25x, Major 150x and Grand 1,000x. When the counter finally runs out, everything stored in the Power Bonus symbols is added to the total win in one go.
Every value is based on the bet you placed on the triggering spin. Changing the bet during the bonus is not possible and would not matter anyway.
A ₹50 bonus played through
Say your bet is ₹50 and the round opens with the Power Bonus on reel 2. First respin: a 10x coin, worth ₹500, and the counter jumps back to three. Then one blank respin, and a 1x coin worth ₹50 lands, another reset. A Mask follows, which changes nothing. The next respin brings a 5x coin (₹250), and after that a Major coin of 150x (₹7,500). Three empty respins close the round.
Total collected: 10 + 1 + 5 + 150 = 166x the bet, so ₹8,300 lands in your balance. Swap the Major for the Grand and the same sequence pays 10 + 1 + 5 + 1,000 = 1,016x, or ₹50,800. That single coin is what lifts a medium volatility game to a 4,103x ceiling.
For quick reference, the coin values at three common stakes:
| Coin | ₹10 bet | ₹50 bet | ₹200 bet |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1x | ₹10 | ₹50 | ₹200 |
| 15x | ₹150 | ₹750 | ₹3,000 |
| Mini 25x | ₹250 | ₹1,250 | ₹5,000 |
| Major 150x | ₹1,500 | ₹7,500 | ₹30,000 |
| Grand 1,000x | ₹10,000 | ₹50,000 | ₹2,00,000 |
Fine print worth knowing
- Masks are dead weight. If one lands on your final respin, the round ends right there.
- The collector lives on reel 2. Coins can drop on any reel, but the Power Bonus appears only in the middle, both for the trigger and during the respins.
- Coins are paid at the end. You do not see the money coin by coin; the stored total is credited when the respins finish.
- Autoplay pauses. The rules list the start of the Bonus Game among the events that stop an Autoplay run.
- Operators can cap a single bet's win. The rules mention a Maximum Win For One Bet setting. If a site sets it below 4,103x, the lower cap applies, so read the limits screen at higher stakes.
What 95% means for a session
The RTP is 95.00%, confirmed both on the provider page and in the rules. Over a very long run, ₹1,00,000 wagered would come back as about ₹95,000 on average. A 96% game would return roughly ₹96,000 on the same amount, so the gap is about ₹1,000 per lakh. In a short session the swings of the bonus round matter far more than that one point, but it adds up if you play the game regularly.
Because there is no buy and no ante, the stake is your only lever. A level bet that covers a few hundred spins is sensible: the bonus is random, and a long dry spell does not make the next trigger any closer.
Close relatives
Onlyplay released Day of Muerte in October 2024 with identical rules, line pays and jackpot sizes, only dressed for the Day of the Dead. Pick between the two on looks. If you like short three-reel rounds but prefer a multiplier wheel to coin collecting, Play'n GO's Fire Joker is the obvious comparison. For a respin round where filling the grid doubles a multiplier, look at Caucasian Wolf.
Practising in the demo
Onlyplay's own demo loads on this page and runs on play money; our guide to free demos explains how that works. A few things to track over a couple of hundred spins:
- How often reel 2 shows a bonus symbol compared with reels 1 and 3.
- How many coins an average round collects before the counter runs dry.
- What the three chests show at the stake you would actually use.
- The RTP and bet limits on the rules screen of that build.
Decide on a spending limit and a time limit before you start, and stop when either is reached.

Frequently asked questions
Who developed Clown Coins and when did it come out?
Onlyplay released Clown Coins on 17 April 2024. It runs on a 3x3 grid with five fixed lines, a circus theme, a Wild in the base game and one respin Bonus Game built around collecting coins.
What RTP does Clown Coins have?
The provider's page and the in-game rules both give 95.00%. Volatility is rated medium and the listed maximum win is 4,103x the bet. In rupees, that is ₹4,10,300 on a ₹100 spin.
How is the Bonus Game triggered?
A bonus symbol has to show on each of the three reels in the same spin. The Power Bonus collector can only appear on reel 2, so the middle reel usually decides whether the round starts.
How much are the coins worth in rupees?
Regular coins are worth between one and fifteen times the bet (1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x), so ₹10 to ₹150 on a ₹10 spin. The three jackpot coins are worth 25x (Mini), 150x (Major) and 1,000x (Grand), which is ₹10,000 for the Grand at that stake.
How do the respins work?
You start with three. Every new coin or Power Bonus resets the count to three, while a Mask adds no value and leaves the count as it is. When no respins remain, the stored values are paid out.
Is there a difference between Clown Coins and Day of Muerte?
According to Onlyplay's data the two share the same rules, paytable and jackpot values. Clown Coins came first in April 2024 and Day of Muerte followed in October 2024 with a Day of the Dead look.
Can I play Clown Coins for real money in India?
The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, in force since 1 May 2026, prohibits offering online money games in India, with challenges pending before the Supreme Court and state rules alongside. The free demo here uses virtual credits.
