Fishin' Frenzy at a glance
Blueprint Gaming dates the release of Fishin' Frenzy to 1 November 2017. It later spawned a whole family, including Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch, a Megaways edition and a Jackpot King version, but this review deals only with the first game. You get five reels, three rows and 10 paylines, all drawn in a bright cartoon style under the waves.
The concept fits in two sentences. Regular spins chase ordinary line combinations, and a trio of boats or better sends you into free games, where any Fisherman on screen hauls in the cash printed on nearby fish. Once a spin pays, you may also stake that prize on a card colour to double it.
Blueprint shares its RTP builds and a stake range, yet it keeps the volatility rating, the paytable and the top win inside the game client. We report only what the provider confirms and leave the rest to the in-game help pages.
A legal note for India: the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 has been in force since 1 May 2026 and prohibits offering and facilitating online money games across the country, while petitions challenging it are pending before the Supreme Court; state laws add their own rules. We describe the game neutrally, never recommend VPNs or other ways around blocks, and remind you that any real-money play, where lawful, is strictly for adults aged 18 and above.
Five RTP builds, one game
Blueprint's data assigns a separate game ID to each version:
| Version | RTP | Average long-run cost per ₹10,000 wagered |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 96.12% | about ₹388 |
| 94 build | 94% | about ₹600 |
| 93 build | 93% | about ₹700 |
| 92 build | 92% | about ₹800 |
| 90 build | 90% | about ₹1,000 |
These figures are long-run averages, not a forecast for any one evening; a single session can swing far more in either direction. What the table does show is how strongly the chosen version shapes the average drain on a balance. Roughly six percentage points separate the best and worst builds, which is too much to ignore, so find the RTP figure in the help pages before spinning.
On stakes, Blueprint's sheet gives 0.20 as the lowest bet and 500 as the highest, both in pounds, with conversion for other currencies. Its feature blurb separately talks about stakes from 10p, so trust the limits the game itself displays on your platform.
How the reels play out
- Set the stake. Provider images show a per-line bet spread over all 10 lines, such as 0.20 a line for 2.00 in total. In rupee terms, ₹2 a line makes ₹20 a spin.
- The reels settle. Five columns come to rest in a 5x3 window, with line markers printed down both edges.
- Lines are scored. Matching pictures along an active line pay according to the in-game table.
- Boats are counted. Three or more anywhere in view unlock the bonus.
- The gamble is offered. After a winning spin, you either bank the prize or try the red or black card.
Who is on the reels
Blueprint's artwork shows every symbol. Top of the range are four pictures: the Fisherman himself, a pelican, a box of tackle and a rod with its reel. Below them sit five playing-card letters and numbers, from ace down to ten, styled with bubbles and sea colours. Two pieces do special work:
- The boat acts as the scatter and carries the word SCATTER. Three or more anywhere start the bonus.
- The fish wear cash tags. In Blueprint's images the tags read amounts such as 4.00, 10.00, 30.00 and 40.00 at a 2.00 total stake, so at ₹20 a spin those same tags would show ₹40, ₹100, ₹300 and ₹400. They only matter in the bonus, when a Fisherman is around to reel them in.
Since line pay values are not published outside the client, we do not print a paytable here. The game's menu holds the full table, scaled to whatever stake you pick.
The Fisherman free games
Three boats or more give up to 20 free games. "Up to 20" is the provider's own phrase, and one of its images shows the counter reading Free Game 1 of 20. How many you get for three, four or five boats is stated in the rules inside the game.
Inside the bonus, fish and Fisherman form a plain money collect, with no multipliers involved:
- Tagged fish keep dropping onto the reels like any other symbol.
- Whenever a Fisherman lands, he scoops up all visible fish and banks the sum of their tags.
- That sum is added to any line wins from the same free game.
No meters, no levels and no sticky symbols are involved. Every free game is judged on its own: is a Fisherman showing, and how many fish surround him?
So keep your eye on him rather than on the fish. Four big tags without a Fisherman return nothing, while one small fish beside him is paid in full. Across a full bonus, how many free games feature a Fisherman usually matters more than the size of any one tag, which is why a long bonus can still end up smaller than a brief one in which he keeps appearing.
A real screen, converted to rupees
One provider image captures the opening free game at a 2.00 total stake. Three tagged fish sit on reel 1, worth 10.00, 30.00 and 10.00; a fourth on reel 5 shows 4.00; and a Fisherman occupies reel 2. He nets the lot: 54.00, or 27 times the stake from a single free game.
The multiple stays fixed whatever you bet. At ₹20 a spin, that same screen collects ₹540; at ₹50 it would be ₹1,350; at ₹100 it reaches ₹2,700. Strip out the Fisherman and the identical set of fish would pay nothing at all. That one condition is the entire tension of the feature.
Red or black: the gamble
Every winning spin gives you the option of staking the prize on whether a face-down card turns out red or black. Call it right and the amount doubles; call it wrong and it vanishes. A ₹60 win turns into ₹120 or zero. Because a colour guess is a straight 50-50 chance, the gamble adds no value over time; it only makes your results swing harder. If you want calmer sessions, simply take every win as it comes.
Bankroll habits
With most of the value packed into free games, and their size depending on how often the Fisherman shows, results differ a lot from one round to the next. A few practical points:
- Count in spins. ₹3,000 at ₹10 a spin gives 300 spins; at ₹20 it gives 150.
- Judge bonuses by their average. Plenty of rounds end with just a handful of catches, and your best one so far is not typical.
- Skip the gamble by default. A string of doubles feels great, but one wrong card erases all of it.
- Fix your stopping points. Agree with yourself on how much you can lose and how long you will play, then hold the stake steady.
Since Blueprint publishes no risk rating, read our guide to volatility to judge a slot's temperament from its features instead.
Fishin' Frenzy next to Big Bass Bonanza
Many later fishing slots borrowed this formula. Pragmatic Play's Big Bass Bonanza also lets a fisherman gather fish values during its bonus, but it layers on a ladder where each fourth fisherman caught unlocks more spins and a larger collection multiplier. Fishin' Frenzy stays bare by comparison, with ten lines, nothing to buy and no multiplier anywhere. Pick it when you want the idea in its plainest form.
Before you play: the checklist
The provider's page shows still images in place of a playable version, so no official free mode is embedded here. Our demo slots guide covers how play-money versions work in general. Wherever you meet the game, confirm:
- The RTP printed in the help pages. A figure between 90% and 94% means you are not on the 96.12% standard version.
- The lowest and highest bet in rupees, set by the platform.
- How many free games three, four and five boats award.
- Whether the card gamble is active, as operators may turn it off.

Frequently asked questions
Can I play Fishin' Frenzy for money in India?
The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, in force since 1 May 2026, prohibits offering online money games in India, with challenges pending before the Supreme Court, and state rules vary. This page only explains how the game works.
What RTP does Fishin' Frenzy have?
Blueprint Gaming lists a standard version at 96.12% and four lower ones at 94%, 93%, 92% and 90%. The help pages inside the game reveal which one a platform uses.
How do the free games start?
Get three or more boats anywhere on the reels. Blueprint promises up to 20 free games, and the exact count for three, four and five boats sits in the in-game rules.
What is the Fisherman's job?
During the bonus, a Fisherman that lands gathers every fish visible on the reels and adds up their tags. That amount is paid along with any line wins from the same free game.
What are the stake limits?
Blueprint's sheet quotes 0.20 to 500 in pounds, with conversion in other currencies. The rupee limits you will actually see are set by the platform and shown inside the game.
Is there a gamble option?
Yes. Any winning spin can be staked on whether a hidden card is red or black. A right guess doubles it, a wrong one loses it, and you can always just collect.
Can the bonus be bought?
No. The original Fishin' Frenzy has no feature buy. Free games arrive only when three or more boats appear in a regular spin.
