Where Dark Wolf comes from
Spinomenal is registered in Malta and builds slots in long themed series. Dark Wolf is filed under its Wolf Pack label, and the studio's page describes it simply: five reels, 25 paylines. The logo sets a black wolf with icy eyes against a big moon and pine trees under snow, a cold northern look that suits the name.
Pulling together the official page and the game sheet, the slot offers:
| Feature | What Spinomenal says |
|---|---|
| Wild symbols | Wilds in stacks, plus a separate Extra Wilds feature |
| Doubled pictures | Double Symbols, and a setting named Only Double Symbols |
| Free spins | Four different modes |
| Bonus Game | Listed on its own and called unique |
| Buy Feature | Included, price not published |
| Operator promotions | Free spins promotions supported |
The client comes in six languages, English among them.
What Spinomenal keeps to itself
Be clear about the gaps first. There is no published release date, volatility rating, bet range, buy price, paytable or rulebook for the four modes. The game sheet does mention a max multiplier of 500, yet it never explains what that 500 refers to, so we will not call it the top win. For every figure not on this page, the in-game help screens are the source. We would rather tell you we do not know than hand you a number that might cost you money.
Four builds, four prices
Operators can install Dark Wolf at one of four RTP settings. The reels, sounds and features look identical in all of them, so playing will not tell you which you have. Only the help screen does. In naira, the long-run cost of each looks like this:
| Build | Expected cost per ₦10,000 staked | 500 spins at ₦100 |
|---|---|---|
| 96.31% | ₦369 | ₦1,845 |
| 94.04% | ₦596 | ₦2,980 |
| 92.16% | ₦784 | ₦3,920 |
| 88.69% | ₦1,131 | ₦5,655 |
500 spins at ₦100 means ₦50,000 through the machine. On the best build the expected loss on that is about ₦1,845; on the worst, about ₦5,655, three times more for an identical game. A single night can land far from either figure, but across weeks the build outweighs any choice you make on the reels. Finding the RTP line before the first real spin is the most useful habit this slot can teach you.
How a spin plays
One stake covers all 25 lines. Once the five reels settle, line wins are paid from the in-game table. Wild stacks can blanket large sections of a reel and complete lines running through it. The extra Wild feature and the doubled pictures are further ways to finish a line, and the help screen states when each one shows up. Scatter or bonus pictures send you into a free spin mode or into the Bonus Game; the exact counts needed are written only in the client.
The features one at a time
Wild stacks. The Wild lands as a tall block rather than a single tile. With 25 lines crossing five reels, a block that fills a reel sits on every line passing through it, so one stack can feed several line wins at once.
Extra Wilds. Spinomenal names this separately from the stacks, which suggests that in some conditions more Wilds get dropped onto the reels. Which conditions, and whether that happens during normal play, free rounds or both, is something to look up in the client.
Doubled pictures. One reel position can show the same picture twice. Because the sheet also names an Only Double Symbols setting, there is likely a state where nothing but doubled versions land. The in-game paytable says how a doubled picture counts toward a line.
Four free spin modes. Rather than one fixed free spins round, you get to pick. Games built this way usually balance more spins against stronger extras. Spinomenal shares neither spin counts nor the differences between modes online, so open each description in the client and compare them before choosing.
Bonus Game. Separate from all four free rounds. Beyond calling it unique, the studio leaves the detail to the game.
Thinking through the buy in naira
The game has a bonus buy, and its cost appears only inside the client's purchase screen, usually as so many times your stake. Without the real figure, here is how to judge whatever number you find. Say it reads 100x and you play ₦100. The purchase then costs ₦10,000, which would also pay for 100 ordinary spins. Your question becomes: a single certain feature, or 100 spins that might reach it on their own while also paying line wins? Bear in mind that the build your operator installed governs purchased rounds as well, so on the 88.69% version the buy is a costly habit.
Budget when volatility is unknown
With no volatility label to go on, assume the swings might be wide. Decide on a spin count, then divide your budget by it:
| Budget | Spins planned | Stake | Long-run cost, best build | Long-run cost, weakest build |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₦10,000 | 200 | ₦50 | ₦369 | ₦1,131 |
| ₦25,000 | 250 | ₦100 | ₦923 | ₦2,828 |
| ₦50,000 | 250 | ₦200 | ₦1,845 | ₦5,655 |
Those costs come from the total staked across the session and are averages, not a forecast for tonight. If the first hundred spins feel stingy, drop the stake and keep the spin count, which leaves the free spin modes room to turn up.
Operator free spins on Dark Wolf
The game sheet confirms that operators can run free spins promotions on this title. That means you might be handed a batch of rounds at a stake the operator picks. Those rounds are regular reel spins funded by the operator, a different thing from the slot's own four modes. Winnings from them normally carry wagering conditions, so the promotion's small print deserves as close a read as the rules inside the game. A batch of free rounds is a cheap introduction, though the installed build still decides the return.
Why so little is published
Some studios put full rules, paytables and maths sheets on their websites. Spinomenal mostly does not; for Dark Wolf the public material stops at a feature list, a line count and the four RTP settings. That is not a sign that anything is wrong with the game, but it changes how you should approach it. With a fully documented slot you can compare prices before loading it. Here the comparison has to happen inside the client, at your operator, on the build they chose. For Nigerian players who switch between several operators, that also means the same title can give a different long-run return from one site to the next, so check the RTP line separately at each operator rather than assuming it matches.
Help screen checklist
Because the studio's site leaves out the detail, treat the client's help pages as the rulebook and look for:
- The RTP figure, which tells you the build
- Values of the top pictures and the Wild at your chosen stake
- How many scatters start free spins and how the four modes differ
- When the extra Wilds arrive and how a doubled picture counts
- The purchase price and whether it moves with the stake
- Lowest and highest stake, plus any win cap set by the operator
Other wolf slots to compare
For a wolf game whose rules are fully public, Wolf Gold is the usual yardstick, with 25 lines, a Money Respin and three fixed jackpots. Going smaller, Caucasian Wolf from Onlyplay fits on three reels and offers one respin round. Dark Wolf has more kinds of feature than both, while telling you far less about them up front.
Before you play for naira
- Start in the demo. Spinomenal's official fun mode loads on this page. Try every one of the four modes, and jot down the number of spins each gives and its payout relative to the stake.
- Check the build at your operator. If the help screen shows 88.69%, a different game or a different operator is the better move.
- Fix limits in advance. A money limit and a time limit, both set before spin one.
- State licensing. Since the Supreme Court judgment of November 2024, gambling in Nigeria is regulated by each state. Play only with an operator licensed for your state, only at 18 or older and never get around a block.

Questions Nigerian players ask
Which studio makes Dark Wolf?
Spinomenal, a Malta-registered provider. It sits in the Wolf Pack series as a five-reel game with 25 lines, under the game code SlotMachine_DarkWolf.
Which RTP will I get on Dark Wolf?
That depends on the operator. Spinomenal supplies builds of 88.69%, 92.16%, 94.04% and 96.31%. The help screen inside the game shows the one you are playing.
How much does the RTP build cost me in naira?
Per ₦10,000 staked, the expected long-run cost is about ₦369 on the 96.31% build and ₦1,131 on the 88.69% build. A single session can differ a lot from these averages.

Four. Their spin counts and differences are not listed on Spinomenal's site, so compare the descriptions inside the game before picking one.
