Stake at a glance
Stake has been operating since 2017, according to its own casino lobby, and it built its name on two things: cryptocurrency payments and in-house games called Stake Originals. This review is based on the operator's own terms, licence page, casino lobby and help centre articles, checked in September 2026. Where Stake does not publish a figure, we say so rather than guess.
Licence and safety
The terms of service state that stake.com is owned and operated by Medium Rare N.V., licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under licence number OGL/2024/1451/0918. Some payment processing runs through two wholly owned Cypriot subsidiaries, Medium Rare Limited and MRS Tech Ltd, both named with their registration numbers in the same clause.
The Stake brand also runs separately licensed local sites: stake.bet.br under the Brazilian Secretaria de Prêmios e Apostas, stake.com.co under Coljuegos in Colombia, and a Mexican operation with its own authorization. Those are different companies with different rules, and players from Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are not allowed on stake.com itself.
What does a Curaçao licence mean for you? It gives the operator a regulator it answers to and a published complaints route, but it is a lighter framework than the licences in the UK or Sweden. Your practical protection comes from the terms you accept, so read the withdrawal and bonus clauses before you deposit. For its in-house games Stake uses provable fairness: each result can be checked against seeds you can see and change.
Account security tools include two factor authentication, passkeys and a Vault that lets you park part of your balance away from active play. Welcome bonus and terms
At the time of our check (September 2026), the Stake welcome offer is not a classic deposit match. It is unlocked by entering a valid affiliate or referral code within 24 hours of opening your account, and it gives you rakeback straight away, a perk normally reserved for players who reach the Bronze VIP level.
Rakeback here means 3.5% of the house edge returned on every bet. Stake's own worked example: wager 1 BTC in total on a game with a 2% edge and you get 0.0007 BTC back, win or lose. Put in dollars, $10,000 of spins on a slot with a 96% RTP (a 4% edge) returns $14. That is a small but steady return, not a windfall.
Some affiliate codes attach a deposit bonus instead. In that case a deposit bonus requirement kicks in automatically. Stake's help centre example is a $100 deposit plus a $100 bonus at 30x, which means $6,000 of wagering before you can withdraw. While that requirement is active you cannot withdraw or tip funds, and a withdrawal request is declined automatically. You can clear the requirement by completing it or by using up the bonus currency balance.

Other promotions and the VIP Club
Stake spends most of its promotional budget on existing players. The regular lineup includes a weekly raffle (one ticket for every $1,000 wagered), a $100K race that pays the top 5,000 players every 24 hours, drop codes, birthday bonuses, forum challenges and daily chat giveaways run by community managers.
The VIP Club starts at $10,000 wagered and climbs through more than 15 levels to Obsidian at $1,000,000,000. Sports bets count three times toward progress, so $1 on sports equals $3 of casino wagering.

Reloads are the headline Platinum perk. A new Platinum rank unlocks a one-off reload lasting 14 days at Platinum I, 28 days at Platinum II and 42 days at Platinum III, claimed daily. From Platinum IV reloads become permanent while you stay active. The reload amount depends on your level and recent wagering, and Stake says it is a little higher if you have been losing over that period.
Game library
Stake's own app listing describes more than 3,000 games, and independent reviews count a similar 3,000 to 3,500 titles in the lobby. What matters more is the mix.
Slots
The slot lobby leans on the big names. During our check the most played list included Pragmatic Play hits such as Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sweet Bonanza 1000, plus Hacksaw Gaming's Wanted Dead or a Wild. Many titles offer a bonus buy, and Stake keeps a dedicated list of those games. Stake Originals

The sportsbook covers singles, multis and same game multis. Stake Shield lets a multi of three or more legs still pay at reduced odds if a set number of legs win. Stake Poker offers Texas Hold'em, Omaha and tournaments.
Payments and withdrawal speed
Crypto is the core of the cashier. Stake accepts more than 20 coins, including BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, USDC, SOL, XRP, DOGE, TRX and BNB, each on specific networks. Send a coin on an unsupported network, such as Arbitrum, Optimism or Base, and the deposit will not credit automatically.
- Minimum deposit: deposits under $0.01 in crypto are not processed automatically. There is no maximum.
- Maximum withdrawal: none; you can withdraw your whole balance.
- Wager before withdrawal: every deposit, crypto or local currency, must be wagered 100% (1x) first.
- Local currency: Visa and Mastercard in selected currencies and countries, bank transfer for currencies such as CAD and INR, and crypto purchases through MoonPay or Swapped.

Crypto withdrawals usually arrive within minutes and typically within about an hour, depending on the coin's network. Stake's help centre explains that each transaction must be confirmed on the blockchain and that larger withdrawals may be held for manual processing by staff. Plan for that if you are cashing out a big win. The fee on a USDT withdrawal is a flat 1.00, so on a $20 cashout it eats 5% of the amount; a cheap network such as SOL or LTC costs a fraction of that.
Mobile play
Stake runs in the mobile browser on any phone. Medium Rare N.V. also publishes a native iOS app in the App Store in some countries, while Android players use the mobile site, which can be saved to the home screen. The lobby, cashier, sportsbook and responsible gambling settings are the same account on phone and desktop. If you install anything claiming to be a Stake app, check that it comes from a link on the official site, since the operator warns about fake copies.
Registration and KYC
You open the account with an email address and password, and you must verify that email before a local currency deposit. Stake's compliance team can request documents at any time, so expect checks before larger withdrawals.
