What Fury of Anubis is

Pragmatic Play released Fury of Anubis on 25 June 2026. The jackal headed god of the afterlife presides over a 6 reel, 5 row grid where 8 or more matching symbols pay from anywhere on the screen. On paper that sounds like Gates of Olympus, but the engine that drives the big wins is different. There are no random multiplier symbols here. Instead, a win multiplier sits above the reels and doubles every time a tumble produces another win.

The official RTP is 96.52%, the maximum win is 10,000x your bet and the in-game rules describe the volatility as medium, which the rules define as steady payouts with a range from low to very high. That combination is rarer than it sounds in modern Pragmatic releases, most of which lean hard toward high volatility.

How a spin works step by step

1. Set the stake. Normal play costs 20 coins per spin. Your total bet is twenty times the coin value.
2. Thirty symbols land. Six columns of five fill the grid.
3. Symbols are counted. The game uses scatter pays: 8 or more copies of one symbol anywhere on the grid win. Position does not matter.
4. The first win is paid at x1. The multiplier above the reels starts every spin at x1.
5. Winners vanish and the grid tumbles. New symbols fall in from above. If they form a new win, the multiplier doubles to x2 before that win is paid.
6. Each further winning tumble doubles it again. x4, x8, x16 and so on, up to x1,024. At x1,024 it stays there for any remaining tumbles.
7. The sequence ends and the multiplier resets to x1. All wins from the chain are credited together.

Our tumble guide covers cascades in general. What matters here is that the tenth consecutive winning tumble is worth over a thousand times more than the first hit, so the slot rewards long chains far more than big single drops.

Symbols and paytable

Nine regular symbols pay, plus the scatter that triggers the bonus. Pragmatic's game server lists the values below as multiples of your total bet, grouped by how many copies are on the grid. Symbol names are not published in the data, so they are ranked from highest to lowest; the in-game paytable shows the artwork beside each row.

The top symbol is unusually generous at 12 or more copies: 100x before any multiplier. Most hits, though, come from the lower ranks at 0.2x to 0.3x, and on their own they rarely cover the stake. The doubling multiplier is what turns those small pieces into a real payout.

The doubling multiplier in the base game

This is the heart of the slot, and it behaves differently from the multiplier types you see in most pay anywhere games. Nothing is random about the value. It depends only on how many winning tumbles in a row you get.

Worked example at a 1.00 total bet:

1. The first drop lands nine of the fifth ranked symbol for 0.30, paid at x1: 0.30.
2. The tumble brings ten of the seventh ranked symbol for 0.70, now at x2: 1.40.
3. The next tumble lands eight of the second ranked symbol for 1.00 at x4: 4.00.
4. A fourth win, twelve of the fourth ranked symbol for 10.00, arrives at x8: 80.00.

The chain pays 85.70 from raw wins worth only 12.00. Had the order been reversed, with the 10.00 hit first, the same symbols would have paid far less. When you watch the demo, you will notice the game feels quiet on single hits and suddenly loud on the fourth or fifth cascade. That is the multiplier curve at work.

Free spins and the starting multiplier

Three, four, five or six scatters anywhere on the grid award 10 free spins with a starting multiplier of x8, x16, x32 or x64 respectively. During the round:

• Each free spin begins at the starting multiplier, not at x1.
• Every winning tumble on that spin doubles it, again up to x1,024.
• Before the next free spin, the multiplier drops back to the starting value.
• Three to six scatters in the round reset the free spins counter to 10 and multiply the starting value by x2, x4, x8 or x16 for the rest of the round.

Worked example at a 1.00 bet with four scatters, so a x16 start: on the third free spin a hit of eight of the fourth ranked symbol pays 0.50 at x16, or 8.00. The tumble adds eight of the second ranked symbol, 1.00 at x32, or 32.00. That one spin returns 40.00. If a retrigger with three scatters lands later, the start value doubles to x32 and every later spin opens at twice the power.

The gamble before the round

Before the free spins begin you choose: collect the starting multiplier you were given, or gamble it. A wheel spins and lands on a win or a lose position. A win doubles the starting multiplier; a loss ends the round and you forfeit every free spin. You can keep gambling until the start value reaches x256.

The rules screen fills in the exact chance for each step. In the build we loaded from Pragmatic's server, the listed chances for a naturally triggered round were roughly 50.55% from x8 to x16, rising step by step to 58.10% from x128 to x256, while any purchased round uses a flat 50%. Treat those as the values of that build and read the rules of the game you open.

A simple way to think about it: a x16 start gambled once becomes either x32 or nothing. Doubling the multiplier roughly doubles the value of the round, so near even odds make the gamble a variance choice more than a value choice. If your bankroll cannot absorb a lost bonus, collect.

Ante Bet, Super Spins and bonus buys
