Where JetX comes from
JetX is the best-known release from SmartSoft Gaming, a studio holding a Malta licence. It came out in 2018 and SmartSoft calls it the original flying crash title, the template many later titles followed. The idea fits in one line: a jet takes off, a multiplier grows in real time, and you choose the moment to take your money. If the jet blows up before you do, the stake is lost.
In September 2026 SmartSoft launched a rebuilt version it calls the New Era of JetX. By SmartSoft's figures the app shrank by half to 3.9 MB and opens 60% quicker, which counts for a lot on a mid-range Android phone running on a daily Safaricom bundle. The same update raises the cap to four bets per flight, shows what other players are doing in real time, enlarges the central multiplier and expands the autoplay options.
SmartSoft rates JetX as high volatility. Its rules quote a return of 96.2% to 98.9%, which shifts with your own choices and with the setup your casino runs. We unpack that band further down.
A flight from start to finish
Follow one flight with a single KSh 200 bet and a manual exit.
- Bets open. Before the jet moves you set up to four separate stakes with the plus and minus buttons. Here you enter KSh 200 on one slot, within the minimum and maximum your casino allows.
- Lift-off. The flight begins and the counter starts at 1.00x.
- Cashout unlocks. The Cashout button goes live when the counter touches 1.01x, the lowest multiplier the rules allow.
- You decide. You press Cashout at 2.30x and KSh 460 lands in your balance. With an auto value set, the game would press it for you.
- The jet explodes. At an end point the game system fixed, the jet blows up, and any bet still running is lost.
- Colours update. The result joins the strip of past flights: white from 1.00x to 2.00x, green from 2.00x to 10.00x, yellow at 10.00x and above.
SmartSoft's rules say plainly that your reaction speed, skill, experience or system play no part in where a flight ends. The only thing you control is when you leave.
Shilling payouts on a single bet
A successful cashout pays your stake times the multiplier at that instant. Some typical amounts:
| Stake | Exit at | Paid back | Profit |
|---|---|---|---|
| KSh 100 | 1.40x | KSh 140 | KSh 40 |
| KSh 500 | 2.00x | KSh 1,000 | KSh 500 |
| KSh 50 | 6.00x | KSh 300 | KSh 250 |
| KSh 20 | 75.00x | KSh 1,500 | KSh 1,480 |
There is no consolation prize. If you aim for 2.00x and the jet explodes at 1.96x, the full KSh 500 goes, even though the flight came within a whisker of your number.
Four bets on one jet
More slots mean one flight can hold several levels of risk at once. Under today's rules you may run a single bet, a pair or a set of four, and each slot keeps separate autoplay and automatic exit settings.
Try a ladder of four KSh 50 bets, KSh 200 in total, with automatic exits at 1.30x, 2.50x, 5.00x and 20.00x.
- Jet reaches 6.40x: the first three slots pay KSh 65, KSh 125 and KSh 250, the fourth misses. KSh 440 comes back on KSh 200.
- Jet explodes at 2.00x: only the 1.30x slot pays, KSh 65 back, a KSh 135 loss.
- Jet explodes at 1.10x: all four slots lose.
A ladder evens out how individual flights feel, with fewer total blanks and fewer huge rounds. It does not lift the expected return of any one of the four bets.
Autoplay, auto cashout and the 300 millisecond gap
Autoplay places the same amount again at the start of every new flight, on one slot or on all active ones. The automatic exit shuts a bet as soon as the counter hits your chosen figure, which can sit anywhere between 1.01x and a ceiling your casino decides. You remain free to tap out by hand earlier, provided the jet is still up.
The automatic exit matters more than it looks. The rules explain that your tap travels to the server in roughly 200 to 300 milliseconds, and you are paid at the value the server registers when it arrives, provided the jet has not yet blown up. On patchy 4G in a moving matatu, a last-moment tap can arrive too late. An auto value is processed without that delay.
What happens when your signal drops
JetX counts any loss of connection longer than 6 seconds as a disconnection. The outcome hinges on timing:
- While bets are open: your bet stands and flies with the round. Reconnect quickly enough and you can still cash out.
- Once airborne: the game attempts to close your running bet at the value on screen at the moment it noticed you were gone.
- Automatic exit set: the bet stays active until it hits your value or the flight ends.
- With autoplay running: autoplay turns itself off after the following round.
As in any casino game, a malfunction cancels all pays and plays.
Reading the RTP band
A typical slot has a single RTP figure per build. JetX states a band because two things move it: the configuration your casino picks and the settings you choose while playing. The rules add that the top figure may be reached by choosing the lowest cashout multiplier on offer.
In shillings, KSh 10,000 wagered at the bottom of the band returns about KSh 9,620 on average, so roughly KSh 380 stays with the house. At the top it returns about KSh 9,890, leaving around KSh 110. The gap is real, but it only appears over many flights. Any single evening is ruled by swings, especially at high targets.
Before staking real shillings, check the rules page of the version your casino offers and write down three figures: its precise RTP, the highest multiplier allowed and the biggest win a single bet can collect. Reach either cap and the game cashes out for you. If the casino has jackpots switched on, their rules sit on the same screen.
Colour strips, signals and predictors
The stats panel is busy: the colour strip, round records, the biggest wins by day, week and month, and in the new build live player activity. After eight white rounds in a row it is easy to feel a yellow one is coming. The rules rule that out. They say each result is independent of earlier rounds, of bet size, of cashout choices and of any betting system.
Keep that in mind when a WhatsApp group or an app promises JetX signals or a predictor that knows the next flight. Nothing outside the game server sees the end point in advance, and a long white run says nothing about what comes next. These offers make money from your subscription or from deposits made through their links, not from forecasting. Use the strip to see how often each colour turns up over a long sample, and base your choices on your stake, your target and your budget only.
Why doubling after a loss breaks down
Low targets hit often, so chasing losses by doubling looks safe. At a 2.00x target starting from KSh 100, five losses cost KSh 100 + 200 + 400 + 800 + 1,600 = KSh 3,100, and the sixth bet has to be KSh 3,200 just to end KSh 100 ahead. Runs like that are uncommon in an hour but certain over weeks of play, and either the table maximum or your balance cuts the chain first.
The deeper reason is simple arithmetic. Every bet carries the same edge, so expected loss equals that edge times the total you wager. Doubling inflates the total wagered, and the expected loss grows with it.
A steadier plan uses flat stakes sized to one session budget. Given the high volatility, keep each bet small enough to ride out long runs without a win, and fix your stopping point before you start.
Licensing, M-Pesa budgets and 18+
Online betting in Kenya falls under the Gambling Control Act 2025, and the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya has replaced the former Betting Control and Licensing Board as the regulator. Choose operators licensed to serve Kenya and play only if you are 18 or over. Deposit methods such as M-Pesa or Airtel Money differ from one casino to the next, so check the cashier yourself. However you top up, decide the shilling amount for the week first, and keep money meant for your chama, rent or fees completely separate.
Testing JetX in the free demo
Our page embeds SmartSoft's own build running on practice credits, which means four slots and automatic exits can be tried at zero cost. Our free demo guide covers how to practise properly. Three things are worth checking: how fast the counter passes your usual target, how a four-step ladder pays across 20 flights, and how long white streaks feel at your planned stake.
Prefer two bets and a seed check on every round? Look at Aviator. Spaceman lets you bank half a stake mid-flight, and Plinko removes the timing decision altogether.
Where to play JetX in shillings
Questions from Kenyan players
What RTP does JetX have for players in Kenya?
The band runs from 96.2% to 98.9%. Where your play lands inside it depends on how the casino has set the game up and on the targets you pick, with the top figure tied to the smallest exit multiplier. Your casino's rules screen shows the exact value it uses.
How many bets can I place on one JetX flight?
Today's version takes a single bet, two bets or four bets per flight. Every slot has its own stake, cashout button, autoplay and auto cashout. Older versions of the game allowed one or two bets.
What does a KSh 200 bet pay at 3.00x in JetX?
It pays KSh 600, made up of your KSh 200 stake and KSh 400 profit. The jet has to still be flying when your cashout reaches the server. If it explodes first, the KSh 200 is lost in full.
What is the lowest cashout in JetX?
The minimum multiplier is 1.01x. The Cashout button becomes active once the counter reaches 1.01x, and automatic exits accept any value from 1.01x to the casino's own ceiling.
Can JetX signals or predictor apps tell me the next result?
No. The rules state that each flight is independent of past rounds, bet amounts and strategies. Groups and apps selling signals cannot see the end point in advance, so treat them as a way to lose a fee or a deposit.
What happens if my connection drops in JetX?
A drop longer than 6 seconds counts as a disconnection. During betting your bet stays valid; once the jet is up, the game tries to settle it at the value showing when your link was lost. An active auto cashout stays in place until reached or the flight ends.
Is JetX a high volatility game?
Yes, SmartSoft Gaming rates it high volatility. Your target shapes how that feels: low exits pay small amounts often, while high exits bring long losing runs between bigger wins. Size your shilling stakes for the long runs.
