For Filipino readers: PAGCOR oversees real money online casino games, which are open only to adults aged 21 or older on platforms it has licensed. The framework for online gaming is currently being reviewed, so look up a platform's licence before you deposit. The demo below costs nothing and uses virtual credits.
A quick look at the game
Fire Joker went live on 13 June 2016 as the third entry in Play'n GO's Joker line. The theme is pure retro: lemons, cherries, plums and grapes, a bar, a gold star and a lucky seven on a dark harlequin backdrop, with a laughing jester as the wild.
You play on a 3x3 window with five fixed lines. A line only pays when all three of its symbols match, either naturally or with the joker filling a gap. The provider rates the game medium risk, sets the default return at 96.15% and caps a single spin at 800 times the bet. Standard bets run from 0.05 to 100 in base units, and your casino shows the peso limits in its rules.
What Fire Joker leaves out matters as much as what it includes. No free spins, no gamble, no feature buy. All the action comes from two features, a locked-reel respin and a flaming multiplier wheel, both explained below.
How the bet works
Each of the five lines carries exactly one coin, and all five are always active. That makes your total bet five times the coin value. On a ₱50 spin, each line is worth ₱10, and every figure in the paytable multiplies that ₱10.
The standard coin list starts at 0.01 and ends at 20.00, so the range of a spin is 0.05 to 100. Some operators turn on a high-stakes set that lifts the maximum to 1,000. The casino also chooses which coin values appear by default, so your menu might be shorter than the full list.
Paytable in pesos
Here are the official three-of-a-kind values from Play'n GO, applied to a ₱50 spin. The last column shows what a full screen of each symbol adds up to, since all five lines pay at once:
| Symbol | Multiple of line bet | One line (₱10 line) | Whole screen, five lines |
|---|---|---|---|
| Joker (wild) | 80 | ₱800 | ₱4,000 |
| Seven | 25 | ₱250 | ₱1,250 |
| Star | 20 | ₱200 | ₱1,000 |
| Bar | 15 | ₱150 | ₱750 |
| Plum | 7 | ₱70 | ₱350 |
| Grapes | 6 | ₱60 | ₱300 |
| Lemon | 5 | ₱50 | ₱250 |
| Cherries | 4 | ₱40 | ₱200 |
| Blue X | 2 | ₱20 | ₱100 |
Read it this way: a single fruit line roughly gives your bet back or less, while the seven, star and bar start to add real value. Full screens are where the game becomes interesting, especially once the wheel multiplies them.
The jester as wild
The joker can land on any cell of any reel and replaces every other symbol. Since the five lines share cells, a joker in a busy spot can help complete more than one line. Three jokers on a line pay the top line prize of 80 times the line bet, ₱800 on a ₱50 spin. A screen of nine jokers is also the only way to reach the game's 800x maximum.
Respin of Fire, step by step
- A spin ends with no winning line.
- Two of the three reels are fully stacked with symbols.
- Those two reels stay frozen, and the remaining reel spins once more for free.
- If more than one pair of reels could qualify, the game holds the pair that can pay the most.
Example on a ₱50 bet: reels 1 and 3 come up covered in sevens, but reel 2 has no seven or joker on a useful row. Reel 2 respins. One seven or joker in a matching row gives you a line worth ₱250; a full stack of sevens or jokers fills the screen and sends you to the wheel with ₱1,250 on the table.
This rule is a big reason the game feels gentler than many modern slots. It rescues spins that would otherwise be dead, which helps explain the medium volatility rating.
Spinning the Wheel of Multipliers
When all nine cells show one symbol, the fiery wheel appears, and whatever segment it stops on, never more than x10, is applied to everything that spin paid. Play'n GO's sheet names only the x10 top value; it does not list the other segments or their chances, so watch the wheel in the demo to see what it holds. This wheel is the only multiplier in the game.
Peso examples on a ₱50 spin, all assuming the wheel lands on its x10 top value:
- Screen of lemons: ₱250 becomes ₱2,500.
- Screen of stars: ₱1,000 becomes ₱10,000.
- Screen of jokers: ₱4,000 becomes ₱40,000, which is 800 times ₱50 and the official cap.
The provider's sheet puts the chance of hitting that maximum at about one in every 559,000 spins. It is a ceiling worth knowing, not something to plan around.
Three spins, three outcomes
To see how the pieces fit together, follow three spins at ₱50.
Spin A. One of the five lines shows plum, joker, plum. The joker completes the line, and you collect ₱70. Nothing else happens, and the next spin starts right away.
Spin B. Reels 1 and 2 are stacked with grapes, reel 3 shows lemon, cherry and X. No line pays, so reel 3 respins. It stops with one grape that completes a single line of grapes: ₱60. Not huge, but far better than zero.
Spin C. All nine cells show bars. Five lines pay ₱150 each, ₱750 in total, and the wheel turns. Suppose it lands on its top value of x10: the spin pays ₱7,500, or 150 times the bet.
Most of your session will look like spin A, a fair share like spin B, and spin C is the rare event that makes a session.
Who should try it
Fire Joker is a good match for players who like to see the full result of a spin at a glance and do not want to wait for a bonus round. It is also an easy starting point for anyone new to online slots, because there is so little to learn. Players chasing huge multipliers should look elsewhere, since 800x is a firm limit and nothing in the game can push past it.
RTP versions
Play'n GO gives casinos five settings: 96.15% as standard, plus lower options of 84.26%, 87.24%, 91.23% and 94.23%. The three lowest are not offered by Malta-licensed operators. In peso terms, ₱10,000 wagered over a long stretch returns around ₱9,615 on the standard build and around ₱8,426 on the weakest one. Check the rules screen; our RTP explainer shows where it is.
Fire Joker compared with Starburst
Both are short-session classics with an 800x ceiling, so they are often weighed against each other. Starburst uses five reels and ten lines with low volatility and a default return of 96.08%, while Fire Joker squeezes everything into three reels and five lines at medium volatility and 96.15%. Starburst relies on expanding wilds and re-spins across a wider screen; Fire Joker relies on locked reels and the multiplier wheel. If you want the simplest possible screen, Fire Joker wins. If you like more lines in play, Starburst may suit you better.
Practise for free first
The demo above is the provider's official practice version. Before you think about pesos, use it to answer a few questions:
- Which cells does each of the five lines use? The paytable screen draws them.
- How often does the respin trigger, and how often does it pay?
- Do you see any full screen in a few hundred spins?
- Which RTP and peso limits appear in the rules?
Our demo guide has more tips. With rounds this fast, set a budget for the whole session, keep the bet steady and stop when you reach your limit.
Where Fire Joker can be played for real pesos
Questions Filipino players ask
What RTP does Fire Joker have?
96.15% in its standard build. Casinos can also pick a lower version, and the weakest is 84.26%. The rules screen tells you which version is running before you bet any pesos.
Is there a free spins feature?
No. Fire Joker has no free spins, no gamble and no way to buy a bonus. Its two features are a free single-reel respin after a near miss and a multiplier wheel for full screens.
When does the reel respin happen?
After a losing spin in which two reels show full stacks. Those reels stay in place while the other reel spins once more at no cost.
What does the wheel do?
It shows up when one symbol covers all nine cells. The segment it stops on, x10 at most, is applied to the whole win. The rest of its values are visible only inside the game.
How much can I win at most?
800 times your bet, or ₱40,000 on a ₱50 spin. You need nine jokers and x10 on the wheel, which the provider estimates at about one in 559,000 spins.
How many lines are there?
Five fixed lines on a three by three window. Each line holds one coin, which means a ₱50 bet puts ₱10 on every line.
Is real money Fire Joker allowed in the Philippines?
PAGCOR regulates it, and you must be 21 or older and play on a platform PAGCOR has licensed. Because the online gaming framework is being reviewed, confirm the licence before you sign up. The demo needs no deposit.
