Sweet 27 in a nutshell
Sweet 27 went live on 27 June 2017. Play'n GO took a three-reel classic and gave it a sweets shop makeover: sugar-coated fruit, chocolate BAR blocks and 7s striped like candy canes, set in front of lollipop trees and sugary hills. If you grew up seeing three-reel machines in arcades, the layout will feel familiar straight away.
The number in the name is the number of winning routes. Three reels, each showing three symbols, produce 3 x 3 x 3 = 27 left-to-right combinations, and you never have to select or pay for them separately. They are always active.
The provider's rule sheet gives a 96.10% average RTP. It says nothing outside the game about volatility, the largest possible prize or the bet range, so we leave those to the in-game rules. What the rule sheet does spell out clearly is the walking wild, the single feature the whole game is built around.
Playing from the Philippines
Online and land-based gaming in the Philippines is regulated by PAGCOR. The legal age for gaming is 21, not 18. If you choose to play Sweet 27 with real pesos, use a PAGCOR-licensed operator and settle on a budget before you deposit. The peso amounts below only illustrate the maths, and the demo on this page uses play credits.
Reading a spin
A round has very few moving parts. You set one total bet, which covers all 27 ways. The reels stop on a 3x3 window, and the game checks each symbol type: if it shows up at least once on the left reel, the middle reel and the right reel, in any row, you have a win. The wild fills in for any symbol where needed.
Then come two possible extras. A wild on the right-hand reel starts the bonus with 2 free spins. And after any regular win, you can choose to gamble it on a card before taking it.
There are no scatter symbols, no cascades and no feature buy. That means the right-hand reel is the only place you need to watch for something special.
Counting ways the easy way
Ways games skip drawn paylines entirely. Our guide to lines, ways and clusters goes deeper, but on a board this small you can do the counting in your head. Multiply how many times the symbol shows on each reel:
| Reel 1 | Reel 2 | Reel 3 | Ways paid |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| 1 | 2 | 1 | 2 |
| 2 | 2 | 1 | 4 |
| 2 | 2 | 2 | 8 |
So if a striped 7 pays a certain amount for three in a row on a ₱20 bet, two 7s stacked on the middle reel double that payout, and stacks on two reels multiply it by four. The symbol's value in the paytable stays the same; the count of ways does the work. Since nothing pays beyond three matching symbols, stacking matters so much here. The exact values for each symbol are in the paytable inside the game menu.
The walking wild bonus
A wild anywhere on the board helps complete ways. A wild on the third reel does more: it starts the walking wild feature.
- You get 2 free spins straight away.
- With each free spin, the wild shifts one column leftward: third reel, then second, then first. It keeps acting as a wild in every position it visits.
- When a fresh wild lands during the bonus, your remaining spins are topped up to 2 again and the win multiplier gains +1.
- There is a hard cap of x3, and nine retriggers is the maximum per bonus.
Play'n GO's product page puts the longest possible chain at 20 free spins in a row: the opening 2 plus nine refills of 2. Most bonuses end much sooner, because without a new wild the original one walks off the left edge after two spins.
A bonus round in pesos
Let us follow one bonus at a ₱20 bet. A wild lands on reel 3, giving 2 free spins that start without any boost.
- First free spin. The wild slides into the middle column, so any matching pair on reels 1 and 3 connects through it. The spin pays ₱8. A new wild also appears, which refills your spins to 2 and lifts the boost to x2.
- Second free spin. The original wild arrives in the left column. Ways worth ₱12 before the boost pay ₱24 at x2. Another wild lands, the spins refill to 2 and the multiplier hits its x3 limit.
- Third free spin. Ways worth ₱10 pay ₱30 at x3. No new wild shows up.
- Fourth free spin. Nothing lands and the bonus ends.
Total: ₱8 + ₱24 + ₱30 = ₱62, which is 3.1 times the bet. Keep in mind that a wild on reel 1 or reel 2 counts for every way passing through its square, so if the other two reels hold stacks, one wild can complete several ways in a single spin.
The takeaway: the multiplier rises only with new wilds, and the bonus lives only as long as they keep coming. Long chains are rare, and even the best rounds stay within a modest range because of the x3 cap.
Gambling a win on a card
Any base game win can be put on the line in the gamble round. A hidden card is dealt, and you choose one of two bets:
- Colour: red or black, a 1 in 2 chance, and a correct pick doubles the win.
- Suit: hearts, diamonds, clubs or spades, a 1 in 4 chance, and getting it right pays four times the win.
You can keep going up to five times. A ₱50 win staked on colour becomes ₱100 or zero; on suit it becomes ₱200 or zero. According to the rules, gambling has no effect on the overall RTP, so it changes how bumpy your results are but not where they average out. It is not offered while Auto Play is running.
Budget tips for short sessions
- Size your bet for at least a few hundred spins. With ₱3,000 at ₱12 a spin, you have 250 spins.
- Save the gamble for special moments. A string of double-or-nothing picks turns a calm slot into a coin flip.
- Keep the bet flat after losses. Every spin has the same chance of a wild on reel 3.
- Set a time limit as well as a money limit, and stop at whichever comes first.

Who will enjoy it
Sweet 27 suits players who want something light during a commute or a coffee break, with rules that fit on a single screen. Players hunting for long bonuses, big multipliers or prizes worth hundreds of times the bet will find it too small, since the multiplier stops at x3 and the bonus can never pass 20 spins.
Compared with other candy and Play'n GO slots
Sweet Bonanza takes the candy theme in the opposite direction, with a 6x5 tumbling board and multiplier bombs. From the same studio, Cash Pump also uses 3x3 boards but runs four of them together, cloning full wild reels with climbing multipliers. Sweet 27 is the simplest of the three.
What to check in the demo
Our free demo is the genuine Play'n GO practice build, so the rules and paytable are identical to the paid version. Use it to note:
- the payouts for three 7s and three BARs, the prizes the wild multiplier can boost;
- the RTP printed in the rules, 96.10% on average for the official build;
- the smallest and largest bets, which vary by operator and currency;
- how many spins out of a hundred bring a wild to reel 3.
Real-money play in the Philippines is for those aged 21 and over. Decide your spend first and enjoy the game as entertainment.

Questions Filipino players ask
What RTP does Sweet 27 have?
The Play'n GO rule sheet shows an average return of 96.10%. Operators may run another build, so confirm the figure in the rules screen of the game at your chosen site.
How are the 27 ways counted?
The board has three reels with three rows each. A symbol that appears on all three reels, in any row, pays, giving 27 fixed ways. Extra copies of that symbol on a reel multiply how many ways are paid.
What starts the Sweet 27 bonus?
A wild landing on reel 3. You receive 2 free spins, and the wild walks one column left on each spin while still acting as a substitute.
What is the top multiplier in Sweet 27?
x3. Each fresh wild during the bonus lifts the multiplier by one until it reaches that cap. With nine possible retriggers, a bonus can last up to 20 spins back to back.
Is the card gamble worth using?
It is optional and does not change the RTP. Picking the right colour of a face-down card doubles a base game win at 50/50 odds, while naming the right suit pays four times at 25% odds. Five rounds in a row is the limit.
What is the minimum age for real-money play in the Philippines?
PAGCOR sets the minimum age for gaming at 21. Real-money play should only happen on PAGCOR-licensed sites, while the demo on this page is free and uses play credits.
