The candy grid at a glance
Sweet Bonanza landed in 2019 and quietly became one of the most copied designs Pragmatic Play ever made. A 6x5 grid fills with bananas, grapes, watermelons, plums, apples, candies and a red heart. There are no paylines. Any symbol that appears 8 or more times anywhere on the screen pays, and that is the only win rule you need.
What makes a spin grow is the tumble. Winning symbols disappear, the ones above drop down, and new sweets fall in. If the refill makes another group of 8, it pays too. In the bonus round a third element joins: multiplier bombs. Learn those three pieces and you know the whole game.

Two patterns are worth remembering. The step into 12 or more is huge for every fruit: plums go from ₱60 to ₱400, apples from ₱75 to ₱500. And the smallest wins are below the spin cost, since eight bananas return ₱12.50 on a ₱50 bet. A session full of those is the normal base game, not bad luck.
The lollipop scatter and the trigger
The lollipop is the scatter. It pays wherever it lands and does not need a group of 8. Four lollipops pay 3x (₱150), five pay 5x (₱250) and six pay 100x (₱5,000). Any four or more also award 10 free spins, and 3 or more lollipops during the round add 5 more. The extra spins can come more than once.
How bombs change the free spins
Bombs exist only in the bonus. Each shows a value from 2x to 100x. They do not pay by themselves and they do not disappear when the grid tumbles. Worked round at ₱50
A free spin opens with eight plums for ₱40. They pop, and the refill forms ten watermelons for ₱50. Nothing else connects, so the chain is worth ₱90. During the chain a 3x bomb and a 20x bomb landed, adding to 23x. The spin pays ₱90 x 23 = ₱2,070.
Two spins later, a 50x bomb drops on a grid where no symbol reaches 8. That spin pays ₱0. Then a spin brings twelve blue candies for ₱600 and a single 5x bomb, paying ₱3,000. Across those three spins the bombs showed 78x in total, yet the biggest payout came from a modest bomb sitting on a strong base win. That is the rule of thumb for this bonus: bombs need a real win underneath them.
Double chance against the bonus buy
The game offers two optional modes, and you can only use one at a time.

Double chance works like an ante bet: a 25% surcharge on every spin for more lollipops. Over 100 spins at ₱50 it costs an extra ₱1,250. The bonus buy charges 100x up front. A bought round can pay much less than ₱5,000, so treat each purchase as one large bet with a wide spread of outcomes, not as a shortcut.

The top prize is 21,100x the stake, which works out to ₱1,055,000 at ₱50. The return to player depends on the build the platform installs, and the exact figure is printed in the game rules. The original next to its newer editions
Later versions keep the grid, the tumble and the paytable shape, and raise the numbers. Sweet Bonanza 1000 takes bombs up to 1000x, adds a 500x super buy and caps wins at 25,000x. Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter keeps 100x bombs but adds super scatters with instant prizes up to 50,000x. Sweet Bonanza 2500 goes to 2500x bombs with extra ante and Super Spin options. The original has the fewest moving parts, which makes it the right starting point.
Testing it in the demo
- Play 100 base spins at one stake and count how many returned at least the stake.
- Note how many spins each natural trigger took. Three or four triggers start to show a pattern.
- In each bonus, record how many bombs landed on spins with no win.

Planning a peso budget
Almost all of the value in Sweet Bonanza sits in free spins, and they arrive at irregular intervals. A budget that only reaches one bonus is a coin flip on whether that one round is good. A budget that reaches several gives the averages a chance to show.
