Best online casinos for players in Ghana in 2026
We compared seven casinos whose terms do not shut out Ghana. Three of the brands also appear on the Gaming Commission of Ghana register for 2026, the rest are offshore. Below you will find who holds which licence, who supports cedis and mobile money, how fast each one pays and what the bonuses are worth in GH₵.

Licensed in Ghana or licensed abroad
Every casino or betting site a Ghanaian can open on a phone falls into one of two groups. The first group holds a licence from the Gaming Commission of Ghana under the Gaming Act 2006 (Act 721). Those brands appear on the register the Commission publishes each year, they must verify customers with the Ghana Card, and a complaint can go to a regulator sitting in Accra. The second group runs from abroad, usually under a licence from Curaçao or Anjouan, and simply accepts players from Ghana.
Our seven picks cover both groups. The 2026 register, valid from 1 January to 31 December 2026, lists 1XBET and BC GAME with online casino licences and MELBET with a sports betting licence. Those local licences belong to each brand's Ghana-facing site, which runs under its own terms. Our reviews describe the international sites and their offshore licences, so read the terms of whichever version you actually open. 1WIN, Mostbet, Stake and Rainbet do not appear on the register at all.
How we chose and ranked
The starting point was each operator's list of restricted countries. Ghana is missing from all seven lists, and 1WIN goes further by naming Ghana among the African countries it serves. Brands that close their lists with a line like "and around 70 more" were dropped, because Ghana could be hiding in the unnamed part; Wild Tokyo, PlayAmo, Spin Casino and Jackpot City went out for that reason. A JACKPOTCITY online casino does hold a Ghana licence, but it is a separate local operation and not the international site we reviewed. 24Casino and King Billy also allow Ghana, yet they offer no cedi balance and nothing aimed at local players, so they stay off the list.
The remaining seven were compared on five points:
- Licence. Is the brand on the Gaming Commission register, and what does its offshore regulator show?
- Cedi balance. Can you hold GHS, or is everything converted from dollars or crypto?
- Mobile money and other local methods. Only what the operator's own payment information says.
- Payout rules in writing. Time limits from the terms, not from a banner.
- Bonus conditions. Match size, turnover, deadline and what a realistic cedi deposit turns into.
Our ranking
1. 1WIN
1WIN takes first place because its own partner data lists Ghana among the African countries it works in and its site configuration includes GHS as an account currency. The welcome offer spreads across four deposits: plus 100%, 120%, 130% and 150% on a cedi balance, with 500 free spins across the four steps. Four deposits of GH₵500 therefore earn GH₵500, GH₵600, GH₵650 and GH₵750, a total of GH₵2,500 in bonus. A crypto account gets plus 130%, 140%, 160% and 170%, or GH₵3,000 on the same deposits.
That headline needs context. The bonus sits in a separate wallet and is moved to your real balance a little each day, based on how much real money you lost on slots the day before. Small withdrawals are a strength: up to the value of 50 USD within 1 to 60 minutes under the terms, bigger amounts inside five days. Its Curaçao licence, OGL/2024/587/0621, carries the label Assessment in progress on the August 2026 register, and 1WIN has no Ghana licence. Our 1WIN review goes deeper.
2. 1xBet
1xBet is one of the few international names whose trade name sits on the Ghana register twice, for sports betting and for online casino. Its international site holds an Active Curaçao licence and runs regional versions with local currencies and payment methods. Under the international terms the casino package covers four deposits capped at EUR 300, 350, 400 and 450, each to be wagered 35 times within seven days with a EUR 5 stake limit until then, and the first qualifying deposit is EUR 10. Depending on the payment route, a payout may need as many as seven business days. If you use the Ghana-facing version, its own bonus page and cashier in cedis are the ones that count.
3. BC.Game
BC.Game is best known as a crypto casino with more than 165 coins, and in July 2026 it announced approval from the Gaming Commission of Ghana. BC GAME now appears on the register for online casino and sports betting. The international site's four-deposit bonus, as last published, matched the first deposit at 120%, the second at 100%, the third at 150% and the fourth at 100%, adding 100 free spins each time, and a 45x requirement on deposit plus bonus, so confirm the live terms. Its Anjouan licence was registered until 1 October 2026 and we could not confirm a renewal, another reason to check which version of the site you are on.
4. Melbet
MELBET holds a Ghana licence for sports betting, not for online casino, according to the 2026 register. The international site runs under an Active Curaçao licence and quotes 15 to 60 minutes for local and mobile payouts once an account is verified. The casino package is split over five payments; by country it ranges from 380 USD to 1,900 USD plus a spin allowance of 220 to 290, so take the cedi value from the promotions page. A deposit has to be played through one time before it can be withdrawn.
5. Mostbet
Mostbet does not restrict Ghana, but GHS is not among the account currencies it publishes, so expect a dollar or crypto balance. Pay your first deposit inside half an hour of opening the account and the match is 125%; pay later within a week and it drops to 100%, with up to 250 free spins either way. Wagering is the hard part: 60 times within 72 hours. On a deposit worth GH₵300, the 125% bonus is GH₵375, which means GH₵22,500 in bets in 72 hours. A withdrawal request wipes out any bonus still running. Read our Mostbet review before you sign up.
6. Stake
Stake is crypto-first and does not exclude Ghana. Instead of a deposit match, a code added during your first 24 hours as a member switches on rakeback worth 3.5% of the house edge. You play each deposit through one time before cashing out, and coin withdrawals normally arrive inside an hour. GHS is not among its listed local currencies.
7. Rainbet
Rainbet is crypto-only for practical purposes and says withdrawals leave within 5 to 15 minutes, plus the time the blockchain needs. You choose between two welcome paths: three deposit bonuses locked behind 40x wagering, or a no-lock option that frees bonus money bit by bit while you play. The bonus needs at least $30 per deposit, and you cannot withdraw less than $15.

We took these figures from the operators' own terms and payment pages and from the Gaming Commission's published register, checked in October 2026. Where a limit is set in dollars or euros, the cedi value moves with the exchange rate, and if the bonus card in your account differs from our table, the card is right.
Paying with cedis
For most people in Ghana the natural way to pay is mobile money. MTN MoMo has the widest reach, with Telecel Cash, formerly Vodafone Cash, and AT Money, formerly AirtelTigo Money, as the other two networks. Locally licensed platforms build their cashiers around these wallets. Offshore casinos work differently: none of the seven publishes MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money in its general payment list, so the only way to know is to open the cashier of a GHS account and look. Crypto, mostly USDT, is the one method all seven accept.
A practical rule: the wallet you deposit from should be registered in your own name, linked to your Ghana Card, and match the name on the casino account. Payouts to a wallet in a relative's name are refused under every operator's terms. Our guide to MoMo casinos and fast withdrawals in Ghana covers each method step by step.
What the law in Ghana says
- The Gaming Act 2006 (Act 721) gives the Gaming Commission of Ghana authority over casinos, sports betting and remote gaming, online play included. Lotto is separate and falls under the National Lottery Authority.
- Licences run for a calendar year. The 2026 register shows dozens of online casino and sports betting brands, all issued on 1 January 2026 and expiring on 31 December 2026.
- Players must be 18 or older. The Commission treats underage gaming as a priority and has run enforcement with the Ghana Police Service against outlets that let children play.
- Ghana Card checks. In August 2025 the Commission told licensed operators to verify customers biometrically against the Ghana Card, through the National Identification Authority database, before bets and again before payouts.
- No tax on winnings for now. The 10% withholding tax on betting and lottery winnings was removed by the Income Tax (Amendment) Act 2025, passed by Parliament in March 2025.
Offshore sites without a Ghana licence fall outside the Commission's consumer protection, and the Commission has repeatedly told the public to deal only with licensed companies. Decide with that in mind. Never try to disguise your location: every operator on this page bans VPNs and proxies and can void winnings when it detects one, and we will not advise using them.
Opening and verifying an account
- Register with real details. Use the same name, birth date and phone number that your ID shows. A second account for the same person breaks every operator's rules.
- Pick GHS if it is offered. The account currency you choose on the first day usually cannot be changed and decides which bonus track you get.
- Watch the bonus clock. Mostbet's 125% offer, for example, expires half an hour after you register.
- Get verified early. Locally licensed sites ask for the Ghana Card. Offshore sites may ask for a passport or national ID, a recent utility bill or bank statement and proof that the payment method is yours.
- Withdraw to where you deposited. Most operators send money back by the same method and want every deposit wagered at least once first.

Keep it fun
Every casino game is built to keep a slice of what is staked. Treat it as entertainment you pay for, not a second income. Agree with yourself on a monthly sum you could lose without hurting rent, fees or family needs, never borrow to play and never raise your stake to win back a loss. A bonus is not free cash either: its wagering keeps your money in play longer. Use the deposit limits and self-exclusion tools each operator provides, and if the fun has gone, talk it through with a person you trust. Everything here is for adults aged 18 and above.
Questions from players in Ghana
Which online casino is best for players in Ghana?
Of the seven we compared, 1WIN fits best on paper because it lists Ghana as a working country and offers GHS accounts. If a Ghana licence matters most to you, 1xBet and BC.Game appear on the Gaming Commission's 2026 register as online casinos, but check that you are on their Ghana-facing site.
Is online casino play legal in Ghana?
Ghana allows licensed gaming. The Gaming Commission licenses casinos, sports betting and online operators under the Gaming Act 2006 (Act 721) and publishes a yearly register. Offshore sites that are not on that register are outside its protection. You must be 18 or older.
Can I deposit with MTN MoMo at these casinos?
Locally licensed sites build their cashiers around MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money. None of the offshore casinos we reviewed names these wallets in its general payment list, so open the cashier of a GHS account to check. Crypto works at all seven.
Which casinos let me hold a balance in cedis?
1WIN lists GHS among its account currencies. The Ghana-licensed versions of 1xBet and BC.Game are built for local players. Mostbet, Stake and Rainbet do not publish GHS, so your balance would be in dollars or crypto.
How fast are casino withdrawals in Ghana?
Under 1WIN's terms a payout worth 50 USD or less takes at most an hour, bigger ones up to five days. Melbet quotes 15 to 60 minutes for local methods once verified. Rainbet releases coins in 5 to 15 minutes and Stake normally inside 60 minutes.
Do I pay tax on casino winnings in Ghana?
The 10% withholding tax on betting and lottery winnings was removed by the Income Tax (Amendment) Act 2025, so licensed operators no longer deduct it at payout. Tax rules can change, so confirm your own situation with the Ghana Revenue Authority or an adviser.
Why do some casinos ask for my Ghana Card?
Since August 2025 the Gaming Commission has required licensed operators to verify players biometrically against the Ghana Card before bets and before payouts. It helps keep under-18s out and supports self-exclusion. Offshore sites may instead ask for a passport or other ID.
