Best online casinos for Canadian players in 2026

We compared eleven casinos whose own terms accept players in the provinces this edition covers. They were scored on Canadian dollar support, Interac and other local payments, withdrawal speed and what the welcome bonus really costs you. If you live in Ontario or Alberta, this list is not for you.

Read this first: Ontario, Alberta and the rest of Canada

Gambling law in Canada sits in the Criminal Code, and it allows games only when a province conducts and manages them. Each province has taken that in its own direction. Ontario opened a competitive market in April 2022, where private operators register with the AGCO and iGaming Ontario. Alberta followed with its own licensed market on 13 July 2026. Players in those two provinces have a regulated choice, and the sites below are not part of it. We do not target Ontario or Alberta and we ask readers there to use their provincially registered sites.

In the other provinces and the territories, the only authorised online casino is the one run by the provincial lottery corporation, such as PlayNow in British Columbia and Manitoba or Espacejeux in Quebec. Offshore operators accept players from those provinces anyway, which leaves them in a grey area: the sites hold licences from regulators outside the provincial system, and players are generally not prosecuted, but no Canadian regulator stands behind them. Manitoba has gone to court against one offshore brand over its operation and advertising, so the situation can change. Check your own province's rules before you deposit anywhere.

The minimum age is 19 in most of the country and 18 in Alberta, Quebec and Manitoba.

How we picked these eleven

We started with each operator's restricted territories, as written in its own terms. A casino stayed in only if those terms leave open the provinces we cover. Several carve out provinces by name: Jackpot City and Spin Casino bar Ontario and Alberta, PlayAmo and 24Casino bar Ontario and New Brunswick, and Stake bars Ontario. We then asked for a positive sign that the operator actually serves Canada, such as a CAD account, Interac in the payment list or Canada on the operator's own list of working countries. Mostbet, 1xBet and Champion Slots showed no such sign and were left out, and Wild Tokyo's position on Canada could not be confirmed.

The survivors were then scored on five things:

  • Canadian dollars. Can you hold a CAD balance, or does every deposit pass through a currency conversion?
  • Payments Canadians use. Interac, iDebit, Instadebit, cards and crypto, as listed in each operator's own payment pages.
  • Withdrawal terms in writing. Pending periods, weekend processing and limits as stated in the rules.
  • Bonus maths. Match size, wagering, maximum bet and caps on what bonus play can win.
  • Licence. Who issued it and what the public register shows.

1. 1WIN

1WIN puts Canada in its main group of working countries, the markets where it promises its strongest local payment methods, and CAD is one of its account currencies. Interac appears among the payment logos in its site configuration. The welcome package matches your first deposit at 100%, then climbs through 120% and 130% to 150% on the fourth for a fiat balance, with 500 free spins across the steps. Four deposits of CA$100 therefore bring CA$500 of bonus in total. The bonus is released gradually from your real-money slot losses rather than handed over as cash, so value it below the headline. Small cash-outs, worth 50 USD or less, should land inside an hour. Its Curaçao licence, OGL/2024/587/0621, is listed as Assessment in progress on the August 2026 register. More in our 1WIN review for Canada.

2. PlayAmo

PlayAmo has the most Canadian cashier on this list: CAD accounts plus Interac, iDebit and Instadebit, alongside cards, e-wallets and six cryptocurrencies. The first deposit is matched 100% up to 1,000 with 100 free spins, and three more steps follow. Wagering is x50, and while a bonus is active the maximum bet is CA$8, bought features included. You need at least CA$25 to receive a deposit bonus. Interac withdrawals take 1 to 3 banking days after processing. It holds a Tobique Gaming Commission licence and bars Ontario and New Brunswick.

3. King Billy

King Billy takes CAD with a CA$30 minimum deposit and lists Interac. The four-step welcome pack reaches 3,000 EUR/USD plus 450 free spins, and the wagering of x30 is the lightest of the classic packages here. Read the cap, though: bonus winnings are limited to three times the deposit, five times on the fourth. Approvals run only on weekdays, from Monday morning to Friday afternoon UTC, which matters if you cash out on a Saturday. Licence: Tobique Gaming Commission.

4. Jackpot City

Jackpot City has served players since 1998, offers CAD accounts and has a native iOS app. Its welcome offer is four 100% matches up to 400 EUR each, wagered 35 times, plus daily spins on a prize wheel after the first deposit. Withdrawals pass a 24-hour pending period with no processing on weekends, then Visa takes 1 to 3 business days. Interac is not in its published banking list, so use a card or an e-wallet. It is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and excludes Ontario and Alberta.

5. Spin Casino

Spin Casino belongs to the same group as Jackpot City and shares its licence and its exclusion of Ontario and Alberta. It runs in CAD, takes Apple Pay and Flexepin, and splits its welcome bonus over three deposits: 100% up to 400 EUR, then 300 EUR twice, at 35x. After the pending period, e-wallet payouts arrive in 2 to 24 hours and bank transfers in 1 to 2 business days.

6. Pin-Up

Pin-Up runs a Canada locale with CAD and names Interac for Canada in its payment list, next to cards, e-wallets and six coins. The first deposit earns 120% if it lands within an hour of sign-up, otherwise 100%, with 250 free spins for a first deposit of 50 USD or more. Wagering is x50 within 72 hours, which is tight. Interac and e-wallet payouts typically take 24 to 48 hours. Licence: Curaçao, listed as Indefinite on the August 2026 register.

7. 24Casino

24Casino accepts CAD and Interac, but only for deposits, so plan another route for your winnings. Its four-step package reaches 3,000 EUR plus 350 free spins at 40x, and the bonus must be cleared in just five days. Rakeback is paid daily in real money once you reach its loyalty ranks. It bars Ontario and New Brunswick.

8. Stake

Stake is crypto-first but offers CAD card deposits from CA$5 to CA$3,000 and CAD bank transfers, which take up to three business days. There is no classic welcome match: a sign-up code entered within 24 hours unlocks rakeback. Every deposit must be wagered once before withdrawal. Ontario is on its restricted list.

9. BC.Game

BC.Game is crypto only, with more than 165 coins and options to buy crypto through partner services. A blockchain payout usually confirms in 5 to 10 minutes. The Anjouan register gave its licence an end date of 1 October 2026, and no renewal had been confirmed at our check, so look at its licence page first.

10. Rainbet

Rainbet shows CAD as a display currency and says crypto withdrawals are sent within 5 to 15 minutes. Its welcome bonus offers a 40x locked path or a no-lock path released as you play, each needing at least $30 per qualifying deposit.

11. Melbet

Melbet lists CAD among its local currencies and quotes e-wallet payouts from instant to 15 minutes and crypto up to 30 minutes. Its casino welcome package covers five deposits and its value varies by country, so look up the CA$ figure in its promotions section. Deposits need one full turnover before a payout.

We took these figures from operator terms, payment pages and regulator registers during September and October 2026. Caps quoted in euros or US dollars convert to CA$ at that day's rate, and the bonus card inside your account has the final say.

Paying in Canadian dollars

Interac e-Transfer is how most Canadians move money, and at a casino it works like paying a friend: you approve the transfer in your bank app and the cashier credits your balance once it arrives. iDebit and Instadebit link your bank account to the casino without sharing card details. Crypto is the route when Interac is not offered or when speed matters most. Canadian bank cards are often declined for gambling payments by the issuing bank, which is why Interac and its alternatives matter so much here. Our guide to Interac casinos covers each method, its limits and the mistakes to avoid.

Signing up and verifying

  1. Check your province. If you live in Ontario or Alberta, stop here and use a provincially registered site.
  2. Choose CAD at registration. At Spin Casino and several others the account currency cannot be changed later.
  3. Use your real details. Name and date of birth must match your ID and your payment method.
  4. Verify early. Expect a photo ID such as a driver's licence or passport, a recent proof of address (most sites accept three to six months) and evidence that you own the card or account you pay with. Doing this before your first withdrawal saves days.
  5. Read the bonus card. Wagering, maximum bet and caps on bonus winnings decide what a bonus is really worth.

Every operator here forbids VPNs and other location masking, and using one can cost you your balance. We will never suggest it.

Picking games

The same handful of titles appears near the top of almost every lobby these casinos run for Canadian players. Before staking real money, open the free demo on our reviews of Book of Dead, Gates of Olympus and Wolf Gold, and check the RTP build in the casino's rules screen, because operators choose between several.

Play within your limits

Every casino game has a house edge. Decide on a monthly budget you could lose without trouble, use the deposit limits and time-outs these sites offer, and never chase losses. Each province funds free problem gambling support, and your provincial lottery corporation lists the number for your area. If gambling stops being fun, take a break and reach out.

Questions from Canadian players

Are online casinos legal in Canada?

Gambling is legal when a province conducts and manages it. Ontario and Alberta license private operators in their own markets. In the other provinces the lottery corporation runs the only authorised online casino, and offshore sites operate in a grey area where players are generally not prosecuted. Check your province's rules.

Why are Ontario and Alberta players excluded?

Both provinces run regulated markets in which only registered operators may serve and advertise to players. The casinos on this list are not part of those markets, and several bar Ontario and Alberta in their own terms, so players there should use provincially registered sites.

Which casinos on this list accept Interac?

According to their own payment information, PlayAmo, King Billy and Pin-Up list Interac, 1WIN shows the Interac logo, and 24Casino takes Interac for deposits only. PlayAmo is the only one that also lists iDebit and Instadebit. Confirm in the cashier after you log in.

Can I play in Canadian dollars?

Yes, at most of them. 1WIN, PlayAmo, King Billy, Jackpot City, Spin Casino, Pin-Up, 24Casino and Melbet offer CAD balances, and Stake takes CAD card deposits. BC.Game is crypto only. Choose CAD when you register, because some sites lock the currency afterwards.

Which casino pays out the fastest?

For crypto, Rainbet sends withdrawals in 5 to 15 minutes and BC.Game transfers usually confirm in 5 to 10 minutes. 1WIN aims to pay small sums, 50 USD or less, inside an hour. Jackpot City and Spin Casino hold every request for 24 hours and do not process on weekends.

How old do I have to be?

19 in most provinces and territories, and 18 in Alberta, Quebec and Manitoba. Every casino on this list will ask for photo ID before paying out, and an account opened under the legal age will be closed.

Are casino winnings taxed in Canada?

For recreational players, gambling winnings are generally not taxed in Canada because they are treated as windfalls rather than income. Professional gamblers can be treated differently. If you are unsure about your own case, ask a tax professional.
