The basics of Mustang Gold

Pragmatic Play put Mustang Gold out on 17 January 2019. The setting is the American frontier: ranch hands in wide hats, a cowgirl and a herd of wild horses kicking up dust. You play on five reels and three rows, and all 25 paylines stay switched on. What sets it apart is the cash collect system. Bags of cash land on the first four reels, a collector symbol lives only on reel 5, and when both show up together the bags get scooped into your balance.

Spin sequence

1. Set the stake. Your total bet always runs all 25 lines, so ₱25 a spin means ₱1 per line.

3. The wild substitutes. It can show up anywhere from reel 2 to reel 5 and covers every symbol apart from the scatter, the cash bag and the collector.
4. Bags get collected. With bags anywhere on reels 1 to 4 and the collector on reel 5, their values are totalled and paid.
5. Jackpots trigger. Every collected bag that reads JACKPOT starts its own matching game.

Line prizes at ₱20 per spin

Pragmatic's server records prizes in coins, with 25 coins making one total bet. Converted to a ₱20 spin:

As multiples of the stake, five of Premium A pay 20x and five card symbols 4x. Look at how sharply the prize climbs from four to five: ₱40 versus ₱400 on the best symbol. The wild never visits reel 1, so any paying line must open with a genuine symbol on that reel. Symbol names are missing from the server data, so we label them by rank.

Try a ₱50 spin. Premium B opens a line on reel 1, wilds sit on reels 2 and 5, and two more Premium B symbols fill reels 3 and 4. Five in a row is 12x, so ₱600. If a card had landed on reel 5 in place of that wild, the line would only collect the four-symbol rate of 2x, or ₱100. One square makes the payout six times larger.

How the cash bags and the collector interact

Cash bags appear on reels 1 to 4 only. Each shows a multiple of your total bet, from a low band of 1x, 2x, 3x and 5x, through a middle band of 8x, 10x, 12x and 15x, up to a high band of 18x, 20x, 25x, 30x and the 35x maximum. Some bags show JACKPOT in place of a number. At ₱20 a spin, the smallest bag is ₱20 and the largest ₱700.

A bag pays nothing by itself. The payout happens only when the collector stops on reel 5 during that same spin, at which point every visible value is added and credited, with no multipliers applied. Expect lots of spins where three or four nice bags sit on screen and the fifth reel lands on something else. That frustration is deliberate, so rate the game on what you actually collect across hundreds of spins rather than on what almost happened.

Bags and collectors never count toward line wins. They run as a separate system, and a single spin may pay out on lines as well as through a collection, with both amounts added together at the end.

Jackpot matching game

When the collector arrives with one or more JACKPOT bags in view, you play one matching game per bag, one after another. You flip tiles until three identical jackpot symbols turn up, and that tier is what you win. The prizes never change:

The floor is 50 times your stake, so a collected JACKPOT bag always means a big spin. Collect two together and you play two games back to back, each able to land on any tier.

A full spin at ₱50

Reels 1 to 4 hold bags of 20x, 5x, 1x and 12x, plus a JACKPOT bag. The collector lands on reel 5. The bags add up to 38x, which is ₱1,900. The matching game follows, and the first tier to reach three symbols is 100x, adding ₱5,000. The spin returns ₱6,900, or 138 times what you wagered.

Take away the collector and that identical screen pays nothing from the bags or the JACKPOT. That is the deal Mustang Gold offers: plenty of value spread over four reels, and only one way to unlock it.

Free spins with heavier reels

Landing three scatters across reels 2, 3 and 4 returns your stake once and starts 8 free spins. The round switches to special reels carrying more cash bags and more collectors than the base game. Collection works the same way but happens more often, and JACKPOT bags get more opportunities to be picked up.

Each new trio of scatters in the round tops it up by 8 spins, and there is no cap. Strong rounds usually build through repetition: a handful of mid-sized collections and, if luck is on your side, a matching game or two. At ₱20 a spin, three collections worth 25x, 3x and 10x already total ₱760 before lines are counted. If one of them includes a JACKPOT that ends on the 200x tier, the round reaches ₱4,760.

What the wild cannot do

The wild lives on reels 2 to 5 and exists only to complete lines. It does not stand in for a cash bag, a scatter or the collector, which means a reel 5 wild will never sweep up the bags on screen. Picture two separate tracks, lines on one and collections on the other; the wild runs only on the first. The scatter has a track of its own too, paying your stake once wherever its three copies land. In theory one spin can pay from all three sources, but that is uncommon.

What a session usually feels like

Medium volatility shows. Most spins pay little or nothing, five-symbol lines are scarce, and your balance slides slowly between collections. Then a collector lands with several bags showing and pulls it back up. The larger jumps come from matching games and good free rounds, and nobody can predict when. • Budget in spins. ₱2,000 at ₱10 a spin is 200 spins; at ₱20 it is only 100.

• Never chase reel 5. The collector is just as likely on each spin, regardless of how many bags you just watched slip away.
