Our verdict

Alien Fruits takes a proven pay anywhere formula and gives it a 15,000x ceiling, three times higher than many games of this type. The rules are clean and the 6 Scatter prize of 100x is a nice bonus, but the RTP of 95.97% is a touch below average and the base game has no multipliers at all.

What we like
  • 15,000x max win, high for a pay anywhere slot
  • Up to 30 free spins from six Scatters
  • Multiplier symbols from x2 to x100 in free spins
  • Scatters also pay up to 100x in the base game
Keep in mind
  • RTP of 95.97% is below the usual 96%
  • No multipliers in the base game
  • Free spins need 4 Scatters, not 3

What Alien Fruits is

BGaming released Alien Fruits on April 13, 2023. The theme is a cheerful invasion: super intelligent fruits from a distant planet, with Avocado, Plum, Pomegranate, Lemon and Passionfruit as the main characters, and letters that the game calls jellies. Their flying ship is the Scatter that takes you to free spins.

The mechanics will feel familiar if you have played Sweet Bonanza. Symbols pay anywhere on a 6x5 grid, winners disappear and new symbols fall in, and free spins add multiplier symbols. BGaming rates the volatility high, lists an RTP of 95.97% and caps a single round at 15,000x the bet.

That cap is the main difference against similar games. Gemza, BGaming's later pay anywhere game with an extra reel, stops at 5,000x; Alien Fruits allows three times as much on the same 30 position layout, and the logo on the official art even carries the x15000 figure. The trade off is that the base game is plain: no multipliers, no Wilds and no special symbols besides the Scatter. Everything rests on long refill chains, Scatter prizes and the multipliers in free spins. If you enjoy simple rules with a high ceiling, that structure works well. If you want something to happen on every spin, look at games that add base game features.

How a spin works step by step

  1. Choose your stake. The demo offers 0.20 to 50 credits; your casino sets the real limits.
  2. Thirty symbols land on six reels of five rows.
  3. Any symbol that appears 8 or more times anywhere on the screen pays. Position does not matter.
  4. All winning symbols disappear. The rest fall down and new symbols fill the gaps from above. This refill repeats with no limit while new wins form.
  5. Scatters pay in any position in the base game, and four or more start free spins.
  6. All wins from the spin and its refills are added to your balance once the sequence ends.

Paytable

Nine regular symbols pay in three bands: 8 to 9, 10 to 11, and 12 or more. The values come from the demo server's paytable and are shown as multiples of the bet. The server lists symbols by number, so we label them by rank rather than guessing which fruit is which.

Symbol8 to 910 to 1112+
Top premium10x25x50x
Premium 22.50x10x25x
Premium 32x5x15x
Premium 41.50x2x12x
Premium 51x1.50x10x
Low 10.80x1.20x8x
Low 20.50x1x5x
Low 30.40x0.90x4x
Low 40.25x0.75x2x

The Scatter has its own prizes: 4 pay 3x, 5 pay 5x and 6 pay 100x the bet. Those are paid on top of any symbol wins and the free spins they trigger, so a six Scatter spin is worth 100x before the bonus even starts.

Note the steep jump to the 12+ band for the mid symbols. Premium 5 pays 1.50x for 11 copies but 10x for 12. Long refill chains that push a mid symbol over that line are where a lot of base game value comes from.

Free spins

Four or more Scatters in one spin start free spins: 4 give 10 spins, 5 give 20 and 6 give 30. During the round, three or more Scatters in one spin add 5 more spins. The bar to retrigger is lower than the bar to trigger, so long rounds are possible.

The free spins add one new element, the multiplier symbol, which BGaming styles as a teleportal.

Multiplier symbols explained

Multiplier symbols appear only in free spins. When one lands it takes a random value from x2 to x100 and stays on the screen until the refill sequence ends. At that point, the values of all multiplier symbols on the screen are added together, and the total win of the sequence is multiplied by that sum.

Two points are worth knowing. First, values are added, not multiplied, so x10 and x5 make x15. Second, the multiplier applies to the whole sequence, not to a single cluster. A spin that refills five times and collects several wins along the way gets the full total multiplied at the end. Our multipliers guide explains why that matters.

A worked example

At a 1.00 bet, a free spin opens with 10 copies of premium 3, worth 5.00. After the refill, 8 copies of low 1 pay 0.80, and a second refill brings 12 copies of low 4 for 2.00. The sequence total is 7.80. Along the way, multiplier symbols of x25 and x8 landed and stayed. Their sum is x33, so the sequence pays 7.80 times 33, or 257.40.

Compare that with a sequence that lands a single top premium win of 10x but no multiplier: it pays 10.00. The game's character comes from those two shapes, and a high multiplier on a long chain is what makes the 15,000x cap reachable.

Bonus buy

Where the casino allows it, you can buy free spins with the bonus buy button. The price is shown above the button and scales with your bet; the demo server lists it at 100x. The next spin triggers the round, and the button is disabled while the bonus is running. The demo build lists a buy RTP of 96.03%, slightly above the 95.97% of normal play.

Buying skips the wait but does not choose the number of Scatters, so treat the 100x price as the cost of one ticket into a round whose length and multipliers are random.

RTP, volatility and max win

The RTP of 95.97% is a little below the 96% that many modern slots use. Over 1,000 spins at 1.00, the difference against a 96.5% game is about 5.30 in expected loss, small in one session but real over time. Our RTP guide shows how to think about that gap.

BGaming rates the game high volatility, lists a hit rate of 2.59, and an FS rate of 395, which reads as one free spins trigger per roughly 395 spins on average. The max win is 15,000x, and the demo math puts the chance of reaching it at 1 in 2,500,000,000.

How to test it in the demo

  • Check the rules for the RTP line and the Payments screen for symbol values.
  • Play at least 300 base spins. With roughly one bonus per 395 spins, fewer may not show a single trigger.
  • Note how often a mid symbol crosses into the 12+ band during refills.
  • Use our demo guide to plan a short structured test before you play for money.

For a newer BGaming pay anywhere game with multipliers in the base game too, see Gemza. If you prefer clusters with growing cell values, Merge Up 2 is the alternative.

Bankroll and stake sizing

Alien Fruits pays most of its return through free spins and Scatter prizes. The base game hands out frequent small wins from the low symbols, but those rarely cover the stake, and there is no multiplier to lift them. A sensible plan accepts that and gives the bonus room to arrive.

  • If one free spins round arrives roughly every 395 spins, a budget of 200 bets covers about half of that average wait. At a 0.40 stake that is 80.
  • Lowering the stake to 0.20 doubles the number of spins for the same money and makes a natural trigger more likely within the session.
  • A 100x bonus buy at 0.40 costs 40. Two buys use the whole 80 budget, so decide in advance whether you prefer two guaranteed rounds or around 200 spins with a chance of a trigger and Scatter prizes.
  • Set both a loss limit and a win target. A strong round with big multipliers is the best moment to stop.

None of these choices change the 95.97% return. They only change how your session unfolds and how hard a cold run hits.
