What Fruit Party is

Pragmatic Play released Fruit Party on 27 May 2020 as a summer title built around a classic theme: bright fruit on a 7x7 grid, 49 positions in all. What sets it apart from traditional fruit machines is the win system. There are no paylines. You win with blocks of matching fruit, winners are cleared away by tumbles, and any fruit in a winning block can carry a hidden multiplier. Pragmatic describes the game as high volatility, and the multiplier design explains why: most spins pay little, but a single block with the right tags can pay hundreds of times its base value.

If you know Sugar Rush, the grid will look familiar. Both are 7x7 cluster pays games with tumbles, a 96.50% headline RTP, a 5,000x cap and a 100x bonus buy. The multipliers, however, follow completely different logic, and that difference decides which game you will prefer.

How a spin works step by step

1. Set the stake. A spin costs 20 coins, so your total bet is twenty times the coin value. All payouts below are multiples of that total bet.
2. The grid fills. 49 fruits drop onto seven columns of seven.
3. Blocks are found. Five or more identical fruits connected to each other form a winning block. This is cluster pays, and a bigger block pays much more than a small one.
4. Multipliers may appear. Each fruit in a winning block can randomly carry a x2 multiplier in the base game. If several do, their values multiply together and the result applies to that block's win.
5. Tumble. Winning fruit is removed, the rest fall down and new fruit drops in. The tumble repeats as long as new blocks form.
6. The spin ends when a drop produces no winning block.

Symbols and paytable

Fruit Party uses seven regular paying fruits and one scatter, the Golden Fruit. The paytable has a separate value for every block size from 5 to 15, and anything of 15 or more pays the top amount. The table shows the main steps as multiples of your total bet, ranked from the best paying fruit to the lowest; the in-game paytable shows the artwork for each row and the sizes in between.

The curve is steep at the top end. A block of twelve top fruits pays 15x, thirteen pays 35x and fourteen pays 70x, so each extra fruit roughly doubles the prize. Below eight fruits most blocks return less than your stake. The Golden Fruit scatter has no cash value of its own; its only job is to start the bonus.

How the multipliers work

This is the part that makes Fruit Party different. Our multipliers guide covers the common types; here are the exact rules for this game.

• Multipliers are attached to fruits inside a winning block. They never appear on their own.
• In the base game each tagged fruit carries x2. In free spins tags appear more often and can be x2 or x4.
• Several tags in one block multiply each other. Two x2 tags make x4, three make x8.
• The combined multiplier on a single block is capped at x256.

Worked example at a 1.00 bet: a block of ten top fruits pays 5.00. Three of the fruits in it carry x2 tags, so the block is multiplied by 2 x 2 x 2 = x8 and pays 40.00. If the same three tags had added up instead, the block would get only x6 and pay 30.00. With more tags the gap widens fast: five x2 tags multiply to x32, while added together they would make only x10.

The same rule is the main contrast with Sugar Rush, where multipliers sit on grid spots and are added together when a cluster covers several of them. In Fruit Party the multiplier rides on the fruit itself and compounds.

Free spins bonus

Three or more Golden Fruit scatters anywhere on the grid award 10 free spins. Inside the round two things change: multipliers attach to winning fruit more often, and each tag can be x4 as well as x2. Landing three to seven scatters again during the bonus retriggers it with 10 to 14 extra spins, depending on how many scatters land.

Worked example at a 1.00 bet during free spins: a block of twelve second ranked fruits pays 12.50. It carries three tags, x4, x4 and x2, so the block multiplier is 4 x 4 x 2 = x32 and the win is 400.00. Four x4 tags on one block would reach x256, the ceiling; a fifth tag on that block adds nothing more. On a block of twelve top fruits that capped multiplier would turn 15.00 into 3,840.00.

Keep the scale in mind. The whole game is capped at 5,000x your bet, and most rounds end far below that. Ten spins is a short bonus, so the value tends to come from one or two heavily tagged blocks rather than a steady build up.

Bonus buy and bet options

Where the operator's jurisdiction allows it, a bonus buy button sends you straight into the free spins. It costs 100x your total bet, so 100.00 at a 1.00 stake, and gives the standard 10 spins. A bought round can return several times its price or a small fraction of it; treat it as a high variance purchase, not as a shortcut to profit.

Compare the buy price with the cap. At 100x per round, one maximum win of 5,000x equals the cost of fifty buys, so the button suits short, deliberate tests far better than repeated use. If you do buy, decide the number of rounds in advance and stick to it.

Unlike many newer Pragmatic slots, Fruit Party has no Ante Bet. Every spin costs the same 20 coins, and the only way to raise the bonus frequency is to wait for the scatters.

RTP, volatility and max win

Pragmatic's official game page lists an RTP of 96.50%. The free demo build we loaded from Pragmatic's own server reported 96.47%, which is a reminder that the version you play may not be the headline one. The game is high volatility, and the maximum win is 5,000x your bet.

Fruit Party versus Fruit Party 2

Pragmatic released a sequel, Fruit Party 2, on 5 August 2021. It keeps the cluster pays grid, the tumbles and the Golden Fruit scatters, but moves the multipliers onto random wilds. In its base game wild multipliers add together across winning clusters up to x256, and in free spins a single wild can reach x729. The original stays the simpler choice: no wilds, one clear rule for tags, and a bonus you can read at a glance.
