What Le Vampire is
Le Vampire is a Hacksaw Gaming release dated 1 October 2026 and part of the same Le series as Le Bandit. Smokey, the tricky raccoon, has moved into a castle full of bats and now has to dodge garlic and sunlight on his way to the treasury. The cartoon look is familiar, and so is the engine underneath: wins mark squares on the grid, and a Rainbow symbol turns those squares into prizes.
The provider's game data: a 6-reel, 5-row cluster grid, volatility 3 out of 5, a maximum win of 15,000x the bet and RTP builds of 97%, 96%, 94%, 92% and 86%. The max win is available in every game mode.
How a spin works step by step
- Clusters pay. Five or more matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically form a win anywhere on the grid. Our pay systems guide explains cluster pays in detail.
- Super Cascades. After a win, every regular paying symbol of the winning type is removed from the whole grid, not only the ones in the cluster, and new symbols drop in. This is a stronger version of a normal tumble.
- Golden Squares. The squares behind every winning symbol light up as Golden Squares, and they stay lit for the rest of that cascade sequence.
- Rainbow activation. If a Rainbow symbol lands, it activates all Golden Squares after the wins are collected, and each square reveals a Special symbol.
- Reset. Once all wins and prizes are paid, the Special symbols and Golden Squares are cleared for the next spin.
The Wild substitutes for every symbol in the paytable. FS, Rainbow and Epic Rainbow symbols never land together, and only one Rainbow of either kind can sit on the grid at a time.
Special symbols behind the Golden Squares
Activated squares reveal coins, clovers or collectors. All coin values are multiples of your bet:
| Special symbol | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bronze Coin | 0.2x, 0.4x, 1x, 2x, 3x or 4x |
| Silver Coin | 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x or 10x |
| Gold Coin | 20x, 30x, 40x or 50x |
| Diamond Coin | 100x, 150x, 250x or 500x |
| Green Clover | Multiplies coins, Bags and Pots on adjacent squares by x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x20 |
| Gold Clover | Multiplies coins, Bags and Pots on the whole grid by x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x20 |
| Bag of Gold | Collects coins and activated Bags and Pots in the surrounding 3x3 area |
| Pot of Gold | Collects all coins and other Bags and Pots on the grid |
The order is fixed. First all squares reveal, then clovers apply their multipliers, then Bags of Gold activate top to bottom and left to right, then Pots of Gold do the same. Whenever a collector gathers values, the squares it emptied reveal new Special symbols and the sequence runs again. A collector that has already fired does not collect a second time. At the end, all coins, Bags and Pots left on the grid are added together and paid as a multiple of your bet.
A worked Golden Squares example
You play a 1.00 bet. A cluster wins, the cascade brings a second win, and together they light eight Golden Squares. On the next drop a Rainbow lands. The squares reveal a 2x Bronze Coin, a 5x and a 20x coin, a Green Clover x3 next to the 5x and 20x coins, a Pot of Gold and three Bronze Coins of 0.4x, 1x and 3x.
The clover goes first: the 5x becomes 15x and the 20x becomes 60x. The Pot then collects every coin on the grid: 2 + 15 + 60 + 0.4 + 1 + 3 = 81.4x. Its emptied squares reveal again and show a 1x and a 4x coin, but no new collector, so those stay where they are. Final payout: 81.4x + 1x + 4x = 86.4x, or 86.40 on top of the cluster wins. Without the Rainbow, the same eight squares would simply have been cleared.
Epic Rainbows, Blood Rain and Epic symbols
The Epic Rainbow is the bigger sibling. When it lands, every position on the grid becomes a Golden Square and reveals a Special symbol, using the same activation order. It can also trigger a Blood Rain, where all positions become Blood Squares instead. Blood Squares work like Golden Squares with one difference: they never reveal Bronze Coins, so the weakest prizes of 0.2x to 4x are removed from the mix.
Epic symbols appear in the bonus games. They pay more than their regular versions, and when an Epic symbol is part of a win, the square behind it is highlighted as a Blood Square.
The three bonus games
Landing three, four or five FS scatters at the same time in the base game starts one of three free spins bonuses, each with 10 spins. FS symbols cannot land inside a bonus, so extra spins come only from the Symbol Bar.
| Scatters | Bonus | What is special |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | Coffin Break | Golden and Blood Squares stay lit until a Rainbow activates them |
| 4 | Love at First Bite | Squares stay lit even after being activated |
| 5 | Do Your Fang | Squares stay after activation, and a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow lands on every spin |
The Symbol Bar. In every bonus, when a high-paying symbol is part of a win, the win is paid and then all symbols of that type turn Epic for the rest of the round. Each upgraded type moves the Symbol Bar one level up. Levels 1, 2 and 3 each add 2 free spins. Level 4 adds 2 more spins and guarantees a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow on the next spin; in Do Your Fang it guarantees an Epic Rainbow. A full bar turns a 10-spin bonus into 18 spins. All coins revealed during a bonus are worth at least 1x.
The persistence is what separates the bonuses. In Love at First Bite a square that paid once can pay again on every later Rainbow, so the grid gets more valuable as the round goes on.
FeatureSpins and bonus buys
The buy menu in the demo lists five options. FeatureSpins are paid spins with a modified base game; bonus buys start a bonus straight away.
| Option | Cost | RTP in the demo build |
|---|---|---|
| BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 5 times more likely to trigger a bonus | 3x | 96.31% |
| Rainbow Bite FeatureSpins: a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow every spin, coins at least 1x | 75x | 96.12% |
| Rainbow Epic Drop FeatureSpins: an Epic Rainbow every spin, coins at least 1x | 500x | 96.36% |
| Bonus buy | 60x | 96.25% |
| Bonus buy | 250x | 96.26% |
The two bonus buys follow the pattern of the series, with the cheaper one matching the three-scatter bonus and the dearer one the four-scatter bonus. The hidden Do Your Fang bonus is not in the list. At a 1.00 bet the buys cost 60.00 and 250.00, and a Rainbow Epic Drop spin costs 500.00, so treat that mode as a very expensive single spin rather than a session.
RTP, volatility and max win
Hacksaw lists five RTP builds: 97%, 96%, 94%, 92% and 86%. The demo session runs the 96% model, and the buy options in that session return between 96.12% and 96.36%. A casino picks one build, and the gap between 97% and 86% is large, so check the game info screen before you stake real money.
The provider rates volatility 3 out of 5, the middle of its scale (see our volatility guide). The 15,000x max win is reached by highlighting as many squares as possible and then activating them with a Rainbow. The rules say it can happen in the base game, with a lower probability than in the bonuses.
How to test it in the demo
The free demo above runs Hacksaw's own build in play money. Watch how long cascade chains run in the base game and how many squares they light before a Rainbow arrives, because that ratio decides most of your returns. Then compare a few 60x and 250x buys: the extra cost buys persistence, and in the demo you can see how often it pays back. For another Hacksaw Gaming title to compare, try Wanted Dead or a Wild. Our demo guide lists what else to check before playing for real.

Frequently asked questions
What is the RTP of Le Vampire?
Hacksaw Gaming lists five RTP builds: 97%, 96%, 94%, 92% and 86%. The casino chooses which one it runs, so open the game info screen to see the figure that applies to you. The official demo runs the 96% model.
What is the max win in Le Vampire?
The maximum win is 15,000x the bet and it is available in every game mode. The rules state that it can be reached in the base game too, but with a lower probability than when bonus rounds are included.
How do Golden Squares work in Le Vampire?
Every winning symbol leaves a Golden Square behind. When a Rainbow symbol lands, the squares reveal coins worth 0.2x to 500x, Green or Gold Clovers that multiply by up to x20, or Bag and Pot of Gold collectors.
How do you trigger the bonus games?
Land three, four or five FS scatters at the same time in the base game. Three start Coffin Break, four start Love at First Bite and five start the hidden Do Your Fang bonus, each with 10 free spins.
What is the Symbol Bar?
In every bonus, a high-paying symbol type that wins turns Epic for the rest of the round and moves the bar one level up. Each level adds 2 free spins, and level 4 also guarantees a Rainbow or Epic Rainbow on the next spin.
Can you buy the bonus in Le Vampire?
Yes. The demo lists two bonus buys at 60x and 250x the bet, plus FeatureSpins at 3x, 75x and 500x per spin. The hidden Do Your Fang bonus is not offered in the buy menu.
Is Le Vampire high volatility?
No. Hacksaw Gaming rates Le Vampire 3 out of 5 for volatility, which places it in the middle of its scale. Wins still depend heavily on Rainbow activations, so results can swing a lot over a short session.
