What Golden Pride is
BGaming released Golden Pride on November 20, 2024, in its Classic line. The theme is medieval: a King Lion in armor, castle walls and a promise of royal spoils. The layout is a standard 5x3 grid that pays across 243 ways, so matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right pay wherever they sit in each column.
BGaming rates the volatility medium high, lists an RTP of 96%, a hit rate of 6.00 and a maximum win of 15,360x the bet. There is no free spins round. The entire feature set sits in one symbol, the Lion Wild, and the respin chain it can start.
How a spin works step by step
- Choose your bet. The demo offers 0.20 to 16 credits; your casino sets the real limits.
- The reels stop on 15 symbols.
- Any symbol that appears on reels 1, 2 and 3 in any row, and optionally on reels 4 and 5, forms a win. Each combination of positions counts as a separate way.
- Wins are multiplied by the bet per way. If several combinations fall on the same way, only the highest is paid, and wins on different ways are added.
- If the Lion Wild lands on any reel, it expands to cover the whole reel. It either completes a win or, if it does not, triggers the respin feature.

A single way of five top premiums pays 15x. The max win of 15,360x is exactly that figure times the top respin multiplier of x1,024, which shows how the game was built: the respin chain does the heavy lifting, and the paytable sets the base it multiplies.
The expanding Lion Wild
The Lion Wild can land on any of the five reels and substitutes for every symbol. When it lands, it grows to cover the full reel. That is an effective way multiplier in itself: a full reel of Wilds turns every position on that reel into a match, so a single symbol on each of the other reels connects through all three rows.
Two outcomes are possible. If the expanded Wild completes at least one winning combination, the win is paid and the spin ends normally. If it does not, the Lion does not go to waste: it locks in place and the respin feature starts.
Respin feature explained
During respins the Lion Wild stays fixed on its reel and the other reels spin again. Every respin carries a multiplier. It starts at x1 and doubles with each respin that does not produce a win: x1, x2, x4, x8, x16, x32, x64, x128, x256, x512 and finally x1,024, the cap shown on the progress bar. As soon as a respin lands a winning combination, the round ends and the current multiplier is applied to that win.
That creates a strange but fun tension. A quick win ends the chain with a low multiplier. A long run of misses builds a huge one, but the eventual win might be a single low symbol way. You cannot stop the chain or choose when it ends.
Because the Wild stays locked, its reel position shapes the chain. A Lion on reel 1, 2 or 3 sits inside every 3 of a kind, so any matching pair on the other early reels can end the chain fast. A Lion on reel 4 or 5 only joins longer combinations, and the remaining reels must line up on their own before it can help.
A worked example
At a 1.00 bet, the Lion lands on reel 3 and does not connect, so respins begin. The first respin misses at x1, the second misses at x2, the third misses at x4, the fourth misses at x8. The fifth respin pays at x16: two ways of Premium 3 for 3 of a kind, 1.00 each, so 2.00 in line value. Multiplied by x16, the respin pays 32.00.
Had the chain run three more misses, the multiplier would sit at x128, and the same 2.00 win would pay 256.00. With a five of a kind top premium on one way, 15.00 times x1,024 gives the full 15,360.00 cap.

In our reading, the logic follows from the ways rule. A Wild on the first three reels helps form a 3 of a kind easily, so a win comes quickly and the multiplier stays low. A Wild on reel 5 only matters when reels 1 to 4 already match, so misses pile up and the multiplier climbs. All three options run at the same 96% RTP in the demo build, so the price reflects the spread of results, not the value.
