What Snoop Dogg Dollars is
BGaming launched Snoop Dogg Dollars on October 30, 2024, as its first slot built around a celebrity. Snoop Dogg appears as an animated character and voices the game, and the soundtrack leans on West Coast hip hop. The math follows the studio's cluster formula: a 6x8 grid, wins for 5 or more touching symbols, and refills after every win.
BGaming rates it very high volatility with a 96% RTP and a 10,000x cap. The provider also lists two industry awards for the game, one for best collaboration and one for best gaming experience. Under the license, the visuals and the voice are the star turn, but the feature set stands on its own and would hold up without the celebrity name.
How a spin works step by step
- Choose the bet. The demo offers 0.25 to 25 credits; your casino sets real limits.
- Forty eight symbols land on six reels of eight rows.
- Groups of 5 or more identical symbols touching horizontally or vertically pay as clusters.
- The winning symbols vanish and their cells are marked.
- Before the gap refills, a bonus symbol may be dug up in an empty cell: a Scatter, Wild, Weed or Skull.
- New symbols drop in, a refill in BGaming's terms, and the process repeats until no cluster forms.
- In the base game every mark and multiplier is cleared before the next spin.
Paytable
There are seven paying symbols. The demo server pays by cluster size from 5 up to 15 or more. The table shows a selection of sizes as multiples of the bet; we label symbols by rank because the server lists them by number only.
| Symbol | 5 | 7 | 9 | 11 | 13 | 15+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Top premium | 0.80x | 1.40x | 2x | 6x | 28x | 120x |
| Premium 2 | 0.60x | 1x | 1.60x | 4.80x | 24x | 80x |
| Premium 3 | 0.40x | 0.80x | 1.20x | 3.60x | 16x | 48x |
| Middle | 0.32x | 0.60x | 1x | 2.40x | 8x | 32x |
| Low 1 | 0.24x | 0.40x | 0.80x | 2x | 6.40x | 24x |
| Low 2 | 0.20x | 0.32x | 0.60x | 1.60x | 4.80x | 20x |
| Low 3 | 0.16x | 0.24x | 0.40x | 1.20x | 4x | 16x |
Small clusters return less than the bet, so the slot relies on multipliers and Wilds to make wins count. Clusters of 13 or more are where raw pays start to matter.
The dig up feature and bonus symbols
Dig up is what sets this game apart from most cluster slots. When a winning cluster disappears and the cells are still empty, one of four bonus symbols can appear in them.
- Scatter. Counts toward free spins. Only one can sit on each reel.
- Wild. Substitutes for all paying symbols. If it is dug up on a cell that already has a multiplier, it gets x10. Every win it joins adds another x10, up to x100. It stays in place until the refill sequence ends.
- Weed. Upgrades every multiplier on the screen: marked cells get +2 and Wilds get +10, then the Weed disappears.
- Skull. Wipes out all low symbols without paying for them, then the grid refills. It is a reset that can open space for premium clusters.
The four symbols work together. A Wild on its own helps one cluster connect; a Wild on a cell that already carries x4 or x6 arrives at x10 and keeps growing. A Weed that follows lifts every multiplier at once, and a Skull can clear the clutter around a sticky Wild so new premiums drop next to it.
Cell multipliers
Each winning cluster marks its cells. A second win on a marked cell adds x2, and each further win adds another x2, so the steps run x2, x4, x6, x8 and x10. The cap is x10, much lower than in games where cell values double. Multipliers from several cells in one cluster are added together. See our multipliers guide for the difference between additive and doubling systems.
Because the cap is low, the cell layer is a support act. The real lift comes from Wilds, which start at x10 when they appear on a multiplied cell and can reach x100.
Free spins and a worked example
Three or more Scatters start free spins: 3 give 10 spins, 4 give 12, 5 give 15 and 6 give 20. The status bar to the right of the reels counts Scatters as they land. When the round begins, each triggering Scatter turns into either a sticky Wild or a x10 cell multiplier. During the round, cell marks and Wilds stay until the last spin, and the same Scatter counts retrigger the feature.
A worked example at a 1.00 bet: a free spin lands a 9 symbol cluster of the top premium, worth 2.00 on its own. It passes through a Wild carrying x20 and a cell at x6. The values add up to x26, so the cluster pays 52.00. The Wild then rises to x30 for the next win. A Weed later in the same round would push that Wild to x40 and the cell to x8. Spread over a dozen spins with sticky positions, those steps compound quickly, which is how the slot reaches its 10,000x cap.
Bonus buy and Snoop Spin
Where allowed, there are four bonus buy options. Prices come from the demo server.
| Option | Cost | Guarantee |
|---|---|---|
| Free spins | 100x | No guaranteed Wilds |
| Free spins plus 1 Wild | 200x | At least 1 Scatter becomes a Wild |
| Free spins plus 2 Wilds | 400x | At least 2 Scatters become Wilds |
| Free spins plus 3 Wilds | 800x | At least 3 Scatters become Wilds |
All four run at the same 96% RTP in the demo build, so the extra cost buys a different spread of results, not better value.
Snoop Spin is the game's paid boosted spin, close to an ante or super spin. For 20x the bet, at least one Wild is dug up before the spin starts. The rules call it very volatile and state a max win hit rate of 1 in 4,600 for this mode.
RTP, volatility and hit rate
BGaming lists the RTP at 96.00%, and the demo build applies 96% to the base game, every buy and Snoop Spin. The provider also quotes a hit rate of 3.00, roughly one winning spin in three, and very high volatility. Check the rules screen at your casino; our RTP guide explains why builds can differ between operators.
How it compares and how to test it
If you like stacking multipliers on marked cells, Merge Up 2 uses doubling values up to x128 instead of the x10 cap here. For a pay anywhere alternative with bombs, see Sweet Bonanza. Snoop Dogg Dollars sits apart thanks to Wilds that remember their multipliers.
In the free demo, watch how often dig up delivers a Wild in the base game, and try a few Snoop Spins to feel how sharply that mode swings. Our demo guide lists what else to check before you play for money.
Bankroll and stake sizing
A hit rate of about one in three sounds friendly, but most of those hits are clusters of 5 to 7 symbols that return less than the stake. The value sits in rare sequences where a Wild lands on a multiplied cell and then joins several wins in a row. That shape calls for a bankroll that can absorb long flat stretches.
- For natural triggers, plan for at least 150 to 200 bets per session. At a 0.50 stake that means a budget of 75 to 100.
- If you use Snoop Spin, treat each one as 20 normal spins. Ten Snoop Spins at 0.50 cost 100, the same as 200 standard spins.
- The 800x buy is the most expensive way to play. At a 0.50 stake it costs 400 per attempt, and one weak round can take the whole budget.
- Decide on a stop point in advance, both for losses and for wins. With a 10,000x ceiling, a good bonus can be followed by a long cold spell.
None of these steps change the 96% return. They only control how quickly your session plays out and how much a bad run can hurt.
