Fruit Shop Grand Re-Opening Explained for Players in the Philippines

Grand Re-Opening is the 2026 NetEnt remake of its fruit market slot. Fruit wins still earn extra spins, but a 36-step Flavor Meter now hands out x75 multipliers at the top, along with extra rows and sticky wilds. Three bonus modes, five Elevate buys and a 5,000x ceiling make it a pick for feature lovers.

Bottom line

NetEnt kept the clever core of Fruit Shop, wins that earn you more spins, and wrapped a full progression system around it. A 96.37% return and a 5,000x ceiling are respectable, and the Elevate menu lets you choose how you enter the action. Expect a busy screen and learn the meter before you stake real pesos.

  • Fruit wins keep extending Re-Spins and Bonus Spins
  • Bonus Spins multipliers climb as high as x75
  • Three modes, with the grid able to grow to six rows

Watch out for
  • Lots of rules stacked on top of each other
  • 21.93% hit rate, below the old game's 27%

Before anything else, for readers in the Philippines: online casino games played for real money are regulated by PAGCOR, and only adults 21 or older may play, on PAGCOR-licensed platforms alone. The online gaming framework is going through a review, so confirm an operator's licence before you sign up. Any demo play uses credits with no cash value.

A new shop on an old street

Early access began on 25 June 2026, and NetEnt rolled it out everywhere on 2 July 2026. It continues the Fruit Shop series that began in 2011 and picked up a winter twin in 2015, Fruit Shop Christmas Edition. Its striped awnings and grinning cherries return, but almost everything under the hood is new.

The studio lists a 96.37% return, a hit frequency of 21.93% and a top payout of 5,000 times the stake. You start on a five by three grid that can stretch to five by six, and the paylines grow with it, from 13 up to 34. The official bet range is 0.20 to 100 per spin in base units, which your casino converts into pesos; for this guide we use ₱20 and ₱50 stakes.

What happens on a normal spin

  1. Choose a stake or switch on an Elevate option (more on those later).
  2. Spin. The reels stop on 5x3. Regular wilds can land on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  3. Lines pay according to the in-game paytable.
  4. Fruit wins start Re-Spins. Two or three Cherries give +1 spin, four give +2, five give +5. For the other fruits, three, four or five in a line give +1, +2 or +5.
  5. The meter wakes up. The Flavor Meter is always on screen, but it only moves during Re-Spins and Bonus Spins.
  6. Bonus check. Land three, four or five Fruit Bonus symbols in any position and you go into one of three Bonus Spins modes.

The Flavor Meter, step by step

Think of the meter as a conveyor belt with 36 stops. Every win pushes it along. Two or three Cherries are worth one stop, four Cherries two stops, five Cherries five stops; for every other symbol, three, four or five in a line move it one, two or five stops. Once it passes stop 36 it keeps running until the 5,000x cap is reached, and it resets to zero when the Re-Spins or Bonus Spins sequence ends.

Stops 4, 8, 12 and every fourth one after hold a multiplier. The values differ by mode:

Meter stop4812162024283236
Re-Spinsx2x3x4x5x6x8x10x12x14
Bonus Spinsx4x6x10x15x18x25x30x50x75

In Bonus Spins, every new multiplier you reach also hands you one more spin. Beyond the last listed value, each further multiplier grows by x2 in Backyard Spins, by x3 in Garden Spins and by x5 in Orchard Spins.

The timing rule trips up many first-time players: whatever the meter gives you counts from the next spin, not the current one. Only two items break that rule, the Mystery Drop and the Jumper Wild, which take effect on the spin they appear.

Prizes hidden between the multipliers

  • Extra Row. Adds a row at the bottom of the grid that stays until the bonus ends. Backyard Spins can collect it three times, Garden Spins twice, Orchard Spins once.
  • Sticky Wild. Places a wild on an empty spot on reels 2 to 5, and it stays there for the rest of the round.
  • Mystery Drop. A cash prize from a fixed list: the smaller values are x4, x6, x8 and x10; the bigger ones are x12, x15, x20, x30 and x40. It is raised further by any multiplier already active.
  • Activated Fruit. Gives one particular fruit an x2 boost on its wins, once per fruit.
  • Upgrade. Turns the low 10 symbol into a Cherry, one time only.

Backyard, Garden and Orchard

Fruit Bonus symbolsModeStarting spinsGrid at startExtra Rows available
3Backyard Spins55x33
4Garden Spins85x42
5Orchard Spins105x51

Notice the pattern: every mode can finish on six rows, so the bigger triggers simply start closer to the full grid. Inside these free spins, fruit wins add spins on the same scale as in Re-Spins, and three more Fruit Bonus symbols add another three. If a bonus lands while you are still in Re-Spins, the unused Re-Spins are converted into extra Bonus Spins and extra meter stops.

Bonus Spins also bring the Jumper Wild. It can land on reels 2 to 5, no more than once per spin, carrying 5, 7, 10 or 15 jumps. When it forms part of a win, the meter moves forward by that many additional stops on the spot.

Three wilds, three jobs

The regular wild can show up in all three phases of play, always on reels 2 to 5. It covers every symbol except the Fruit Bonus and the two special wilds, and it always picks the highest paying combination on its line.

The Sticky Wild exists only as a meter prize during Bonus Spins, which is why grabbing one early is so valuable: it helps on every remaining spin. The Jumper Wild is the meter accelerator. It replaces any symbol apart from the Fruit Bonus and the Sticky Wild, and its jumps count immediately.

Worked example: Garden Spins at ₱50

NetEnt does not post the paytable outside the game, so the line values below are placeholders. The rules they follow are exact.

  • Trigger. Four Fruit Bonus symbols land. You get 8 Garden Spins on a 5x4 grid.
  • Spin 1. Four Cherries win and add +2 spins and two meter stops. The meter sits at stop 2.
  • Spin 2. A Jumper Wild with 7 jumps joins a three-of-a-kind win. One stop for the win plus seven from the Jumper takes the meter from 2 to 10. It passes stop 4 (x4) and stop 8 (x6), so x6 is now banked and you gain two extra spins, one per multiplier.
  • Spin 3. The x6 now applies. A win worth ₱40 before multipliers pays ₱40 x 6 = ₱240, and the meter moves one more stop.
  • Spin 4. Another win carries the meter onto a Mystery Drop, and it reveals x10. On a ₱50 stake that is ₱500, and with x6 active it becomes ₱3,000, paid on the same spin.

The point is the chain: wins feed the meter, the meter feeds multipliers and spins, and long chains are where the 5,000x cap, ₱250,000 at ₱50, becomes reachable.

Elevate options priced in pesos

NetEnt gives you five ways in through its Elevate menu. Here they are at a ₱20 base stake:

OptionCostAt ₱20What it guarantees
Bonus Hunt2x bet per spin₱40 per spinAt least one Fruit Bonus symbol every main game spin
Fruit Win10x₱200A fruit win, which opens Re-Spins
Backyard Spins70x₱1,400Three or more Fruit Bonus symbols
Garden Spins100x₱2,000Four or more Fruit Bonus symbols
Orchard Spins150x₱3,000Five Fruit Bonus symbols

Bonus Hunt behaves like an ante bet: you double the cost of each spin for better trigger chances. The three spin buys are a classic bonus buy, a fixed price for a guaranteed mode. A ₱1,400 Backyard purchase can return a fraction of its cost or many times it, so budget it as the 70 regular spins it replaces, not as one click.

Compared with the 2011 original

The first Fruit Shop runs on 5x3 with 15 lines, a 96.71% return and an 800x ceiling. Free spins there are earned through fruit wins and pay x2, or x4 with a wild. Grand Re-Opening keeps the fruit-earns-spins idea but replaces the flat x2 with a meter climbing to x75, adds three modes and expanding reels, and raises the ceiling to 5,000x. You pay for that with fewer winning spins: 21.93% against 27%.

Testing it and reading the rules

Try a free version at a casino first; our demo guide explains how. Track three things: how often fruit wins turn into Re-Spins, how many stops the meter usually travels, and how long a Backyard round runs. In the help screen, check the RTP of that build, the peso bet limits and whether all five Elevate options appear for your market.

A hit rate of 21.93% means roughly four spins out of five pay nothing. The real value is concentrated in chained Re-Spins and the bonus modes, so you are better off with many spins at ₱20 than a few at ₱100. Set a loss limit before the session and walk away when you reach it.

What RTP does Fruit Shop Grand Re-Opening have?

How much can I win at most?

The cap is 5,000 times your stake. That works out to ₱100,000 on a ₱20 spin and ₱250,000 on a ₱50 spin.

How do the Bonus Spins modes trigger?

You need Fruit Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels. Three give 5 Backyard Spins on 5x3, four give 8 Garden Spins on 5x4 and five give 10 Orchard Spins on 5x5. Three more Fruit Bonus symbols during the round add 3 spins.

What does the Flavor Meter do?

It is a 36-stop track that moves with every win in Re-Spins and Bonus Spins. Every fourth stop holds a multiplier, reaching x14 during Re-Spins and x75 during Bonus Spins, while other stops give extra rows, sticky wilds or cash drops.

How much do the bonus buys cost in pesos?

At a ₱20 stake, Backyard Spins cost ₱1,400, Garden Spins ₱2,000 and Orchard Spins ₱3,000. Fruit Win costs ₱200, and Bonus Hunt doubles each spin to ₱40.

How is it different from the first Fruit Shop?

The 2011 game has 15 fixed lines on 5x3, a 96.71% return, free spins paying x2 and an 800x limit. The new one adds the meter and three bonus modes, lets the grid stretch to six rows and lifts the limit to 5,000x.

Is real-money play of this slot allowed in the Philippines?

Real-money online gaming is regulated by PAGCOR, and you must be at least 21 and play only on a PAGCOR-licensed platform. Since the online gaming framework is being reviewed, check the licence first. Demo credits carry no cash value.
