A note for players in the Philippines: real-money online gaming is regulated by PAGCOR, and you need to be at least 21 and use a platform carrying a PAGCOR licence. Rules for online play are under review right now, so check the licence of any site before you put in pesos. The free demo on this page runs on play credits only.
Sweet Burst in a nutshell
Pragmatic Play published Sweet Burst in January 2026, and on first glance it looks like a candy slot you already know: gummy strawberries, raspberries, kiwis and oranges, bright colours and a sugary soundtrack. Look at the grid, though, and the difference jumps out. There are only three reels and five rows, fifteen cells in all, half the playing area of Sweet Bonanza.
Pragmatic compensates by lowering the bar for a win. Five copies of a symbol anywhere on the screen are enough, not eight. The rest of the engine stays faithful to the series: scatter pays instead of lines, tumbles that clear winners and refill the screen, and a free spins round in which multiplier symbols stick around until the chain is over.
The key figures: the demo server reports a 96.52% return for normal play, the game rules call the volatility high, and the cap is 5,000 times your bet. On a ₱20 spin that ceiling is ₱100,000.
One spin from start to finish
Here is what happens between pressing spin and seeing your balance change.
- Your stake is set. A bet is made of ten coins. The build we checked offers coin values from 0.01 to 25, giving a total range of 0.10 to 250 in base units; your casino converts that into its own peso limits.
- The grid fills. Fifteen sweets drop into three columns.
- Symbols are counted. The game tallies each type across the whole screen. If any type reaches five, that group pays according to its count band.
- The tumble kicks in. Paying sweets vanish, the survivors slide down, and fresh symbols fall from the top.
- Counting starts again. Each new win triggers another tumble. Pragmatic sets no ceiling on how many tumbles a single spin can produce.
- The total lands. When nothing more connects, everything the sequence earned is credited at once.
Our tumble explainer goes deeper into cascades. On fifteen cells, a single removal of five or six symbols changes a third of the screen or more, so chains here tend to be all or nothing: they either stall right away or keep feeding themselves for several drops.
Paytable converted to pesos
The server data gives six paying symbols in three count bands. It does not say which candy sits on which rank, so we list them from top to bottom; the in-game paytable shows the artwork next to each row. Values below are for a ₱20 total bet.
| Rank | 5 to 6 symbols | 7 to 8 symbols | 9 to 15 symbols |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 (highest) | 8x, ₱160 | 25x, ₱500 | 50x, ₱1,000 |
| 2 | 2x, ₱40 | 10x, ₱200 | 25x, ₱500 |
| 3 | 1x, ₱20 | 4x, ₱80 | 10x, ₱200 |
| 4 | 0.6x, ₱12 | 1.2x, ₱24 | 6x, ₱120 |
| 5 | 0.5x, ₱10 | 1x, ₱20 | 5x, ₱100 |
| 6 (lowest) | 0.4x, ₱8 | 0.8x, ₱16 | 4x, ₱80 |
Two patterns are worth remembering. First, the premium symbol is strong straight away: five of them return eight times your stake, ₱160 on a ₱20 bet. Second, reaching nine or more copies multiplies the value sharply for every rank, so a tumble that tops up an existing group by two or three symbols can turn ₱12 into ₱120. The flip side is the bottom three ranks. At five copies they hand back less than you staked, which is why base game sessions often feel like a slow trickle.
The scatter has no cash value in the server paytable. Its only job is to open the bonus.
Getting into free spins
Land three or more scatters anywhere and you receive 10 free spins. Once inside, the round switches to special reels and two things change:
- Multiplier symbols can now drop onto the grid.
- Scatters extend the round: two of them add 5 spins, three or more add 10.
The low retrigger threshold is a real plus. Two scatters on fifteen cells is not a rare sight, so a round that starts with 10 spins can easily run to 15, 20 or more. Picture it: you open with 10, two scatters on your third spin push the total to 15, and three scatters on spin nine add another 10. That is 25 spins in total, and each extra one is another shot at a multiplier landing during a winning tumble.
How the multipliers pay, with a peso example
Multipliers are exclusive to the bonus. Each one shows a random value: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x and 8x at the low end; 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x and 25x in the middle; 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x and 1,000x at the top. Once on screen it stays in place for the rest of the tumbling sequence. When the chain finally ends, all multiplier values on the grid are added together, and that sum is applied to the total the sequence won. The multiplier guide compares this additive style with other systems.
A worked example on a ₱20 bet:
- A free spin drops five symbols of rank 3, paying ₱20.
- The tumble produces seven of rank 5 for another ₱20.
- Along the way a 4x and a 20x multiplier land and hold their spots.
- Nothing else connects. The raw win is ₱40, the multipliers add up to 24x, and the sequence pays ₱960.
Now the less pleasant case. Should a multiplier land on a spin where no group ever reaches five, it simply disappears with nothing to multiply. On such a small grid, each multiplier also occupies a cell that a paying candy could have filled, so you will see rounds where a big number lands and the sweets around it refuse to cooperate.
Ante Bet and the feature buy
Depending on the operator, the bet panel may show two optional extras. Here is what they cost at a ₱20 base bet:
| Mode | Cost per use | RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Standard spin | ₱20 | 96.52% |
| Ante Bet spin | ₱60 | 96.54% |
| Buy free spins | ₱2,000 | 96.56% |
The Ante Bet in Sweet Burst is not the usual small add on. It triples your spend per spin. The rules text we could read only lists its RTP, so open the bet panel of your game to see exactly what it changes before you switch it on. The ceiling does not grow with it: the cap on an Ante spin works out to 1,667x of the raised stake, the same 5,000x of your base bet. The server does put the odds of hitting that cap at roughly 1 in 347,705 Ante spins, against about 1 in 2,252,252 normal ones.
The feature buy starts the 10 free spins immediately for 100x, ₱2,000 at a ₱20 bet. Its 96.56% return is marginally better than regular play on paper, but one purchase is a single swingy event. Plenty of bought rounds return far less than ₱2,000, while a handful pay many times the price. Decide in advance how many buys your budget allows and stick to that number.
RTP, volatility and the 5,000x ceiling
You may run into two return figures. Pragmatic's own game page quotes 96.50%, while the demo server for the build we loaded reports 96.52% normal, 96.54% Ante and 96.56% buy. The rules screen inside the game you open shows the figure that actually applies; the RTP guide explains where to find it and why operators can run different builds.
High volatility means wins come less often, with the bulk of the value concentrated in the bonus. The top prize is 5,000x the bet: ₱50,000 at ₱10, ₱100,000 at ₱20. A free spins round that reaches it stops on the spot, and any spins left over are forfeited.
Is Sweet Burst a good fit for you?
If you already enjoy the multiplier rounds in Sugar Rush or Sweet Bonanza and want something that resolves faster, the narrow grid will suit you. Bonus rounds feel punchy because every multiplier takes up a large share of the screen.
It is a weaker choice if you want the base game to carry your balance. Without multipliers outside free spins and with half the paytable returning less than the stake at five copies, long flat patches are part of the design. The 5,000x cap also sits well below many recent Pragmatic releases, so expect a steady run of mid-sized bonus results rather than a single enormous hit.
Trying it in the demo first
The play credit demo above runs the full game. A short checklist makes a test session useful:
- Spin 200 times at one fixed bet and note how often any symbol reaches the 9 to 15 band.
- Purchase a handful of bonus rounds, five or six is enough, and write down what each one paid compared with its 100x cost.
- Track how many multipliers land on spins that never win. That number shows how much of a round comes down to timing.
- Open the rules and confirm the RTP lines, the bet limits and the wording of the max win.
When you move to pesos, choose a stake that lets your budget cover several hundred spins. A long run without a bonus is normal for a high volatility game and does not mean one is due.
Where Sweet Burst can be played for real pesos
Questions Filipino players ask
What RTP does Sweet Burst have?
The demo server shows 96.52% for regular spins, 96.54% when Ante Bet is on and 96.56% when you buy the feature, while Pragmatic's game page lists 96.50%. Operators can run other builds, so read the rules screen before betting pesos.
How many matching symbols make a win?
Five or more of the same sweet anywhere on the 3x5 grid. Pay bands cover 5 or 6 copies, 7 or 8 copies, and anything from 9 up to 15. On a ₱20 bet the top symbol pays ₱160, ₱500 and ₱1,000 across those bands.
How do I trigger the free spins?
Three or more scatters anywhere start 10 free spins. Inside the round two scatters add 5 spins and three or more add 10. Multiplier symbols appear only during this feature.
How are the multipliers applied?
Each multiplier in free spins shows a value from 2x to 1,000x and stays until the tumbling sequence ends. All values on screen are added, and that sum multiplies the sequence win. Any multiplier landing on a spin without a win pays nothing.
How much can I win at most?
5,000 times the bet, which is ₱100,000 on a ₱20 spin. If free spins reach that amount the round ends at once. In normal play the server puts the odds at about 1 in 2.25 million spins.
What do the Ante Bet and the buy cost?
The Ante Bet makes each spin cost three times the base bet, so ₱60 instead of ₱20. The feature buy costs 100x, or ₱2,000 at a ₱20 bet, and starts 10 free spins straight away.
Can I play Sweet Burst for real money in the Philippines?
