GCash and Maya casinos in 2026: how peso payments really work now
GCash and Maya used to be the easiest way to fund a gaming account in the Philippines. Since August 2025 that is no longer true. Here is what the BSP changed, which of the casinos we review handle pesos, how a deposit and a withdrawal go step by step, and where the risks sit.

Why GCash and Maya matter so much here
For millions of Filipinos an e-wallet is the main bank account. GCash and Maya handle bills, load, padala from relatives abroad and QR payments at the sari-sari store, all from a phone number and a PIN. So when a casino cashier offers a wallet button, it feels natural: pesos in, pesos out, no card and no conversion.
That convenience is exactly what regulators looked at in 2025. Before you search a cashier for a GCash logo, it helps to know what the rules now allow.
What the BSP changed in August 2025
In mid-August 2025 the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas ordered the e-wallets and other financial institutions it supervises to remove in-app icons and links to online gambling platforms within 48 hours. GCash and Maya complied by 16 and 17 August. PAGCOR reported that online gaming transactions fell by about half within days, and in August 2026 it still named the delinking as a main reason for a sharp drop in its expected income.
The order was framed as a suspension while the BSP finalises a circular on online gambling payment services. Its draft, published for comment in July 2025, would require any payment company that handles gambling transactions to get prior BSP authority, to deal only with licensed gaming platforms, and would allow limits such as daily caps on transfers. A Senate bill that would bar e-wallets from online betting altogether has also been filed. Meanwhile PAGCOR has pushed for relinking with stronger safeguards and, in 2026, extended its anti-money-laundering oversight to banks, digital banks and e-money issuers that serve licensed operators.
Two points follow for players:
- The rules focus on licensed, PAGCOR-approved platforms. Offshore casinos are not licensed by PAGCOR, so no Philippine wallet is authorised to process payments to them.
- A wallet payment that looks possible in a cashier can still be blocked, reversed or flagged by the wallet provider, and your account there can be restricted.
Do any reviewed casinos list GCash or Maya?
No. We name a payment method only when the operator's own payment information lists it, and none of the casinos we review lists GCash or Maya. What we can confirm is which of them handle pesos at all:
| Casino | Peso support in its own information | Min deposit | Withdrawal speed and limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1WIN | PHP account; the Philippines is a main market with local methods shown in the cashier | About 5 to 10 USD equivalent | Up to 50 USD equivalent in 1 to 60 min, above that within 5 days, plus up to 3 business days of bank delay |
| Melbet | PHP among its local currencies; mobile and local methods by country | From 1 to 10 USD equivalent | Local and mobile methods 15 min to 1 h on verified accounts; 1 USD to 60,000 USD per withdrawal |
| 1xBet | Peso amounts on regional versions; local methods by country | EUR 10 for the first bonus | Up to 7 business days depending on method |
1WIN is the most Philippines-focused of the three: a PHP account, a Filipino interface and local payment methods for the market. Its public payment list does not name GCash or Maya, so the cashier after login is the only place to see what is actually offered. Our 1WIN review covers its withdrawal rules in full.
Melbet lists PHP and quotes 15 minutes to an hour for local and mobile methods once your profile is verified. Every deposit must be turned over once before withdrawal, and money goes back to the method you used to deposit.
1xBet shows peso amounts on its regional versions and applies the same once-over turnover rule on deposits, with some payment checks that can take longer.
The other operators in our Philippine casino ranking are either crypto-first or have no PHP account, so they are not peso-payment options in any practical sense.
Other peso methods you will see in a cashier
With wallet links gone, cashiers that serve the Philippines tend to show three other routes:
- Bank transfer. InstaPay moves pesos between Philippine banks and e-money accounts in real time, up to ₱50,000 per transfer. PESONet handles larger amounts in batches, usually within the banking day. Banks apply the same scrutiny to gaming payments that wallets do.
- Payment agents and personal accounts. Some cashiers ask you to send pesos to a named person's wallet or bank account. That leaves you with no protection at all, and it is the pattern regulators are specifically targeting. We advise against it.
- Crypto. Buying USDT or another coin and sending it to the casino avoids a peso transfer to the operator, but not the risks: irreversible transfers, price swings and no one to call if a site refuses to pay.
A peso deposit, step by step
- Choose PHP at sign-up. On most sites the account currency is fixed once chosen. A PHP balance means a ₱2,000 top-up lands as ₱2,000, not as a converted dollar figure minus fees.
- Open the cashier and read the method list. Note the minimum and the processing time shown next to each method. If the only peso option is a transfer to a private individual, stop there.
- Check the payee name. Whatever route you use, the recipient should be a registered payment company, not a personal name you have never heard of.
- Keep the reference number. Screenshots of the transaction ID save hours with support if a deposit goes missing.
- Only then look at the bonus. At 1WIN the first peso deposit triggers a +100% match, so ₱2,000 becomes ₱2,000 in bonus funds on top, released gradually from real-money slot losses.
Getting pesos back out
- Verify before you win. Have a passport, driver's licence or UMID, a proof of address no older than three months and a statement for your payment method ready. Unverified profiles are the most common reason payouts stall.
- Clear the turnover rule. 1WIN, Melbet and 1xBet all require each deposit to be wagered at least once. Deposit ₱3,000 and you need ₱3,000 in bets before the withdrawal button opens.
- Withdraw to an account in your own name. Third-party accounts are refused, and 1WIN does not accept deposits from friends or relatives either.
- Expect two stages. The casino approves the request first, then its payment provider sends the money. At 1WIN that second stage can add up to three business days on larger amounts.
Incoming payments from a gaming operator can be questioned by your bank or wallet provider just as outgoing ones can.
Limits that decide how fast you get paid
Three layers of limits apply at the same time, and the tightest one wins:
- The casino. 1WIN pays up to 50 USD equivalent within an hour and larger sums within five days, and it may set an individual daily limit on wins above 50,000 USD. Melbet caps a single withdrawal at 60,000 USD, with lower caps per method.
- Your bank or wallet. InstaPay tops out at ₱50,000 per transfer, and wallets set limits by verification level, visible in the app.
- The payment provider. The company behind the cashier can add its own caps and waiting times.
A worked example: you win ₱120,000 and the only peso route in the cashier is an InstaPay-style transfer. At ₱50,000 per transfer, the payout arrives as three pieces, such as ₱50,000, ₱50,000 and ₱20,000, and each one may be approved separately.
Pros and cons of paying in pesos offshore
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| A PHP balance at 1WIN or Melbet avoids conversion fees | GCash and Maya have removed gambling links on BSP orders since August 2025 |
| Small 1WIN withdrawals are paid within an hour under its terms | No wallet or bank is authorised to serve operators without a PAGCOR licence |
| Local methods appear in the cashier for PH accounts | Peso routes often go through agents or personal accounts with no protection |
| Low minimums on most methods | No Philippine regulator to help if a payment goes missing |

Questions Filipino players ask
Can I deposit with GCash at an online casino?
Since August 2025, GCash has removed in-app links to online gambling platforms on the BSP's order, and the suspension continues while the BSP finalises new payment rules. None of the casinos we review lists GCash in its own payment information, so check the cashier and expect the payment may be refused.
Does Maya still work for online gambling?
Maya complied with the same BSP order as GCash in August 2025 and removed its gambling links. The BSP's draft rules would only let authorised payment firms serve licensed platforms, and offshore casinos are not PAGCOR-licensed, so Maya is not a reliable route to them.
Which reviewed casinos accept Philippine pesos?
1WIN and Melbet list PHP among their account currencies, and 1xBet shows peso amounts on regional versions. 1WIN treats the Philippines as a main market with local methods shown in the cashier after login.
What is the safest way to pay in pesos?
A transfer to a registered payment company, from an account in your own name, with the reference number saved. Avoid cashiers that ask you to send money to a private person's wallet or bank account, because you have no protection if it disappears.
How long does a peso withdrawal take?
At 1WIN, up to 50 USD equivalent is paid within 1 to 60 minutes and larger amounts within five days, plus up to three business days of bank delay. Melbet quotes 15 minutes to one hour for local methods on verified accounts, and 1xBet up to seven business days.
Is there a limit on peso withdrawals?
Yes, from three sides. The casino has its own caps, InstaPay allows up to ₱50,000 per transfer, and wallets set limits by verification level. A ₱120,000 win sent through InstaPay would arrive in at least three transfers.
Are PAGCOR-licensed sites allowed to use e-wallets?
The BSP's pending rules would let authorised payment firms serve licensed platforms only, and PAGCOR has pushed for relinking with stronger safeguards. As of September 2026 the in-app gambling links on GCash and Maya remained switched off.
