Sugar Rush 1000 against the original
Everything you learned in Sugar Rush carries over. The 7x7 board, the cluster rules, the seven paying sweets and the rocket scatter are all the same, and so is every payout value. Pragmatic Play only reworked the top end of the game:
| What you compare | Original Sugar Rush | Sugar Rush 1000 |
|---|---|---|
| Highest spot multiplier | x128 | x1024 |
| Win cap | 5,000x | 25,000x |
| Feature buy | 100x | 100x |
| Return to player | 96.50% standard build | listed in the game rules |
At R2 a spin the cap moves from R10,000 to R50,000, yet the price of buying the bonus stays at R200. You pay the same for a round that can now go five times further. That single trade-off is the reason this edition exists.
One spin on the 7x7 board
Candy fills 49 positions. A win needs five or more matching symbols joined across or up and down; diagonal contact does not count. Our cluster pays guide sets this against line and ways slots.
- Every winning cluster pays a multiple of the total stake.
- Each position in that cluster is marked.
- Winners are cleared and fresh candy tumbles into the gaps.
- If a later win covers a marked position, that spot becomes x2, and each further win there doubles it again.
- The chain stops once no new cluster appears. In the base game, all marks then clear.
Base game example at R2. Five purple bears connect for R0.50 and mark five spots. The tumble then brings eight orange hearts worth R3, and three of them sit on marked spots. Each of those spots turns into x2, the values add to x6, and the hearts pay R18. The spin returns R18.50, and the board resets for the next one. In the base game, this edition is no different from the original: spots seldom climb far before the reset.
Sweet pays at R2 a spin
The values below are the original's, converted at a R2 stake for four cluster sizes. The in-game paytable shows every size in between.
| Sweet | 5 linked | 8 linked | 12 linked | 15 and up |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pink lollipop | R2 | R4 | R30 | R300 |
| Orange heart | R1.50 | R3 | R25 | R200 |
| Purple candy | R1 | R2.50 | R20 | R120 |
| Green star | R0.80 | R2 | R10 | R80 |
| Red bear | R0.60 | R1.50 | R7 | R60 |
| Purple bear | R0.50 | R1 | R6 | R50 |
| Orange bear | R0.40 | R0.80 | R5 | R40 |
The candy rocket is the scatter. It pays nothing by itself and is there to start the free spins.
Climbing past x128
Each win on a spot doubles it: x2, x4, x8, x16, x32, x64, x128. In the original the spot freezes there. In Sugar Rush 1000 it carries on to x256, x512 and x1024. When a cluster covers several spots, their values are summed rather than multiplied, as our multipliers guide explains.
Doubling is steep, so those three extra steps are worth far more than they look. A spot sitting at x128 gains another x896 if three more wins land on it. With several spots climbing in the same corner of the board, the combined value can reach figures the original never could.
Free spins worked out at R5
Rocket scatters open the free spins round; the number of scatters needed and the spins they award are set out in the game rules. During the round, marks and spot values remain until the last spin, which is what allows a spot to climb all the way to x1024.
Example at R5 a spin. Late in a bonus, three neighbouring spots hold x1024, x128 and x32. A cluster of five green stars lands across all three. Its base value is 0.4 times the stake, R2. The spots add up to x1184, so the cluster pays R2 x 1184 = R2,368, more than 470 times the stake from five small stars.
Now picture the same moment in the original. The first spot could never pass x128, so the total would be x288 and the cluster would pay R576. The difference only appears when a spot is pushed beyond x128, which needs many wins in one place. Plenty of bonuses never get there, and that is exactly why the results of this edition are spread so widely.

Buying the round and reading the RTP
If the operator offers it, the bonus buy opens free spins for 100 times the stake: R200 at R2, R500 at R5. The price matches the original while the possible return is far wider, so any one purchase can just as easily come back at a fraction of its cost.
The game describes its volatility as high, and the top win of 25,000x works out to R125,000 at R5. We do not print an RTP for this edition, because it depends on the build the platform installed; the figure for your version is in the game rules, and our RTP guide shows where to look. For this mechanic with a lower ceiling and a published 96.50% standard build, the original remains the steadier choice. The comparison table further down lines up the Xmas edition and the Super Scatter version, whose cap reaches 50,000x.
Practical checks and the legal note
- Open the rules screen first: RTP, minimum and maximum bet in rand, and whether the buy is switched on.
- In the demo, which runs on play credits, buy or trigger a handful of bonuses and note how often any spot really passes x128. That is the only place this edition outperforms the original.
- Pick a stake that leaves room for a long session. Most rounds end small, and short balances seldom last long enough to see a big one.
For readers in South Africa: the National Gambling Act 2004 does not authorise online casino games, and the only legal online betting is sports betting through bookmakers holding a provincial licence. We do not encourage breaking local law, and we never suggest VPNs or ways to get around blocks. This page is meant for adults of 18 and over. No pattern or setting changes the odds of a spin; your stake and your stop point are the only controls you really have.
Where Sugar Rush 1000 is offered
Questions from South African readers
How is Sugar Rush 1000 different from Sugar Rush?
The board, cluster rules and paytable did not change. Spot multipliers in the 1000 edition climb to x1024 rather than stopping at x128, and the top win grows from 5,000x to 25,000x. The 100x buy price is the same.
How far can a multiplier spot climb?
Every win on a marked spot doubles it, from x2 all the way to x1024. If a cluster covers several spots at once, the cluster takes the sum of their values.
What RTP does Sugar Rush 1000 have?
It depends on which build the platform has installed. The exact figure for the version you load is listed in the game rules, so read it there before staking anything.
What is the biggest win at R2 a spin?
The game caps wins at 25,000 times the stake. At R2 that comes to R50,000, and at R5 it would be R125,000.
Do the multiplier spots reset during free spins?
No. During the bonus every mark and spot value stays until the round ends, which lets spots keep doubling toward x1024. Only in the base game are they cleared after each spin.
What does the feature buy cost?
Where the operator enables it, the buy costs 100 times the stake, exactly as in the original. At R2 that is R200, and at R5 it is R500.
