What Sweet Rush Bonanza is
Pragmatic Play launched Sweet Rush Bonanza in 2025 by joining two of its best-known designs. The grid comes from Sweet Bonanza: six reels, five rows, and wins for 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the screen. The engine that drives the bigger results comes from Sugar Rush: every winning position is marked, and a second hit on that spot turns it into a multiplier that keeps doubling. There are no bombs here at all.
The rules screen labels the game high volatility, and the server data gives a default RTP of 96.50% that stays the same in every mode.
How a spin works
- Choose your base bet. The coin sizes on the demo server give a range from 0.20 to 240; your platform sets the final limits.
- Thirty symbols land. Any symbol with 8 or more copies anywhere on the grid pays, following the pay anywhere rule.
- Every position that held a winning symbol is marked.
- Winners explode, symbols drop and new ones fall in. This tumble continues while new wins form.
- When a winning symbol explodes on a marked spot, that spot gains a x2 multiplier. Each further explosion there doubles it.
- When the grid settles, the sequence is paid. In the base game every mark and multiplier is cleared at this point.
Paytable
Nine symbols pay. The text rules show them as artwork only, so we label them by rank. Values are multiples of the base bet for 8 to 9, 10 to 11, and 12 or more copies.
| Symbol rank | 8 to 9 | 10 to 11 | 12+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top symbol | 5x | 10x | 50x |
| High 2 | 1.25x | 2.5x | 15x |
| High 3 | 1x | 2x | 10x |
| High 4 | 0.75x | 1.5x | 7.5x |
| Low 1 | 0.6x | 1.25x | 6.25x |
| Low 2 | 0.5x | 1x | 5x |
| Low 3 | 0.4x | 0.9x | 4x |
| Low 4 | 0.3x | 0.75x | 3x |
| Low 5 | 0.25x | 0.5x | 2x |
Compared with Sweet Bonanza the base values are flatter: the top symbol pays 5x for 8 copies instead of 10x. The game shifts value away from raw symbol pays and into the spots. The scatter pays very little on its own: 0.10x for 4, 0.25x for 5 and 5x for 6 or more.
Multiplier spots explained
This is the heart of the slot, and the logic matches Sugar Rush exactly. Our multipliers guide covers the general types; here is how this one behaves:
- The first explosion on a position only marks it.
- The second explosion there adds a x2 multiplier.
- Each further explosion doubles it: x4, x8, x16, x32, x64, up to x128.
- A win that covers several multiplier spots adds their values and applies the sum to that win.
Worked base game example at a 1.00 bet. The first drop pays 8 Low 1 symbols for 0.60 and marks eight positions. The tumble brings 10 High 3 symbols for 2.00, and three of them sit on marked spots. Those three become x2 each, the win takes x2 + x2 + x2 = x6, and pays 12.00. The spin returns 12.60 in total, then the marks vanish.
Free spins and sticky spots
Four or more scatters anywhere start 10 free spins, and 4 or more during the round add 10 more. The big change: marked spots and their multipliers stay in place until the round ends, and keep growing with every tumble across all the free spins.
Worked bonus example at 1.00. By the seventh free spin one corner holds spots worth x16, x8 and x4. A group of 12 High 2 symbols lands across all three. The base win is 15.00, the spots add up to x28, and the result is 15.00 × 28 = 420.00 from a single win. The same round can still end small if the high spots sit apart and no group covers them together.
Ante bet and Super Spins
Sweet Rush Bonanza has four bet modes. All of them return 96.50%, but the cost per spin changes a lot, while the cap stays at 5,000x the base bet. See our ante bet and super spins guide for the general idea.
| Mode | Cost at 1.00 base bet | What it does | Cap as a share of cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1.00 | Normal play | 5,000x |
| Ante bet | 3.00 | 3 scatters trigger free spins instead of 4 | about 1,667x |
| Super Spin 1 | 20.00 | Random positions start each spin with multipliers of x2 or more | 250x |
| Super Spin 2 | 250.00 | All 30 positions start each spin at x32 | 20x |
The last column is the part most players miss. Super Spin 2 cannot pay more than 5,000x the base bet, which is only 20 times what that spin costs.
Bonus buy options
Two bonus buys are available where the operator allows them. Free spins cost 100x the base bet. Super free spins cost 500x and start with a x2 multiplier already on every spot. Ante and Super Spin modes are switched off during a buy. At a 0.50 bet that is 50.00 or 250.00 per purchase, so size your session to survive several results below the price.
RTP and max win
The server reports 96.50% for regular play, all three ante modes and both buys. The cap is 5,000x the base bet; a free spins round that reaches it ends immediately. The rules give the odds of hitting that cap in regular play as 1 in 1,988,072 spins. Check the rules screen on your platform for the RTP build in use; our RTP guide explains why it matters.
How it compares with its two parents
| Point | Sweet Rush Bonanza | Sweet Bonanza | Sugar Rush |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grid and pays | 6x5, 8+ anywhere | 6x5, 8+ anywhere | 7x7, clusters of 5+ |
| Multiplier source | Spots x2 to x128 | Bombs 2x to 100x in free spins | Spots x2 to x128 |
| Free spins | 10, spots stay | 10, bombs per sequence | 10 to 30, spots stay |
| Max win | 5,000x | 21,100x | 5,000x |
In practice it plays closer to Sugar Rush than to its namesake. The pay anywhere grid makes wins easier to read than touching clusters, yet the spot logic means value grows from repeated hits in the same area. Fans of the classic bombs will find them in the original and in the winter edition, Sweet Bonanza Xmas.
How to test it in the demo
Play 100 standard spins and watch how often a second win lands on a marked spot before the sequence ends. Then try a few demo buys of each type and compare the spread of results with the 100x and 500x prices. Give Super Spin 1 a short run to see how many starting multipliers appear. In the rules screen, confirm the RTP, the bet limits and which modes your platform enables. Pick a stake that leaves room for at least 150 standard spins, and set a loss limit before you begin.

Frequently asked questions
How does Sweet Rush Bonanza pay?
Eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6x5 grid form a win. Winners explode, new symbols fall in, and every winning position is marked. A second explosion on a marked spot adds a x2 multiplier that doubles with each further hit, up to x128.
Do the multipliers stay between spins?
In the base game, no: marks and multipliers are cleared when the tumble sequence ends. In free spins they stay for the whole round and keep doubling across spins.
How many scatters trigger the free spins?
Four or more scatters start 10 free spins, and four or more during the round add 10 more. With the ante bet active, 3 scatters are enough to trigger the round.
What does Super Spin 2 do?
It costs 250x the base bet per spin and starts every position on the grid at x32. The max win is still 5,000x the base bet, which is only 20 times the cost of that spin.
What is the RTP of Sweet Rush Bonanza?
The demo server lists 96.50% for regular play, the ante bet, both Super Spin modes and both bonus buys. Some platforms may run another build, so confirm the figure in the game rules.
What is the maximum win?
The cap is 5,000x the base bet. Per the rules, the chance of reaching it in regular play is 1 in 1,988,072 spins, and a round that hits the cap ends at once.
How is it related to Sugar Rush?
It uses the same multiplier spot mechanic as Sugar Rush, from x2 doubling up to x128, but on Sweet Bonanza's 6x5 grid where 8 or more symbols pay anywhere instead of in touching clusters.
